How could the Messiah be sinless?

The name of the son that was given shall be calld among other things, "the everlasting Father". You have to change the plain rendering of scripture twice to come to any other conclusion except that Jesus is the Father. Also, there is one Lord in holy scripture (Ephesians 4:5); even the Father...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

It does mention the Person of the Father. The Father is "Him who inhabiteth eternity". You would be more accurate to say that the title of Father is not mentioned. The Person, however, is mentioned. it is who the verse is speaking of.

PETER AND PAUL AND THE NAME

You're probably going to have to search for the answer in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

PETER AND PAUL AND THE NAME

In Romans 4:11, is Paul speaking of spiritual circumcision (of the heart) or physical (of the male organ)?

PETER AND PAUL AND THE NAME

Circumcision of the flesh has no bearing on a man's salvation (Galatians 5:6, Galatians 6:15, 1 Corinthians 7:19). In fact, it can be detrimental to one's salvation if one is putting their trust in it (Galatians 5:1-4, Philippians 3:1-9). What you mean by cherry-picking, is that you don't like...

    Grace vs Legalism

Comparing verse 6 with verse 8, if we say that we have no sin, we walk in darkness. These verses are definitely speaking of those who are unsaved. The one who denies indwelling sin, is, therefore, unsaved.

    Grace vs Legalism

I don't think that remaining transparent before the Lord would be qualified as obedience, per se. I would consider it to be more along the lines of keeping an attitude. Just like faith is an attitude that results in obedience, transparency is an attitude that results in sanctification.

    Grace vs Legalism

Not if you are hiding from God; and are therefore not walking in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7) Ideally, we should be walking in the light consistently. But I would say that yes it is possible to cease to be transparent before the Lord and then later to become transparent again...

    Grace vs Legalism

    Of course.

    Grace vs Legalism

No... he is saying, in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells. (Romans 7:18).

    Grace vs Legalism

Paul wrote that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Being born again of the Holy Spirit does not change the fact that we have been born of the flesh, first.

    Grace vs Legalism

I do believe that we need to remain transparent before the Lord in order for the blood of Jesus to "continually cleanse us from all sin." Jesus washed the disciples' feet in John chapter 13; and this represents the fact that we get our feet dirty from walking in the world. It is not our whole...

I've Blashphemed the Holy Spirit. What now?

Jhn 6:37, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

I've Blashphemed the Holy Spirit. What now?

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' day was to attribute the miracles that Jesus did in the power of the Holy Ghost to satan. I don't think that you have committed the unpardonable sin. If the Holy Spirit shifted from convicting you of sin to convicting you of judgment, He is still...

    Grace vs Legalism

Please explain, then, how you understand this doctrine and how it does not contradict the literal interpretation of 1 John 1:8. I do not accept the idea that when John said "we" he really meant "you". I take the holy scriptures at face value.

    Grace vs Legalism

This is also what I teach to a certain extent. However, I do not deny the reality of indwelling sin (1 John 1:8, Galatians 3:22, Romans 3:23) in my teaching.

    Spiritual Strength

Gnosticism teaches that matter is evil and spirit is good; and that you are without sin; because the real you is not your flesh. I will also mention here some specific verses that correct @Behold's theology. 1Pe 1:5, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be...

The relationship between faith and works.

I said, look at how it relates on every level. If I present a gift to someone so that they might receive it, can they receive it if I do not present it to them? Likewise, our presenting ourselves to God as a living sacrifice is offering ourselves to Him as a gift. If I do not present myself...

PETER AND PAUL AND THE NAME

So, Galatians 2:7 contradicts the rest of scripture? I fear that you have the scripture contradicting itself. I have explained how the two gospels come together to form one gospel; but apparently you did not want to listen. I would suggest going back and reading my posts again on the subject...
