How could the Messiah be sinless?

I have not said that they are not distinct from each other. Consider this: There is one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4); the Father (John 4:23-24, Ephesians 4:6), the Son (Colossians 1:27, 1 John 5:12), and the Holy Ghost (John 7:37-39, 2 Timothy 1:14). There is one Lord (Ephesians 4:5, 1 Corinthians...

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

From #4 in True Trinity. In the Old Testament God reveals Himself as YHWH. And He also is the great "I will be who I will be". He reveals Himself in different capacities to Israel under the name YHWH with an adjective placed after His name. Examples of this are YHWH-Tsidkenuh, YHWH-shalom...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

What Jesus said in John 8:27 also applies to John 8:24. In John 14:7-11, it should be compared to John 4:23-24; where it says that the Father is a Spirit. That Jesus is in the Father and the Father in Him means that the Father is the Spirit of Jesus. And notice that Jesus says, "Have I been...

The relationship between faith and works.

From #803 in Spotting the Heretic When a person is declared righteous, they are also made righteous; for it is impossible for the Lord to lie (Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2). Being justified for ever, they are made into a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 (kjv)). So if anyone is truly...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Your link doesn't translate the word for Father in the Hebrew...but it is there. btw, Jesus does claim to be the Father in John 14:7-11...and in John 8:24, when He says, "Unless you believe that I am he..." they did not understand that He was speaking to them of the Father (John 8:27).

    The Wonderful Works of God

Hey, @Anthony D'Arienzo, I like it that you are making your specific posts shorter. It makes them easier to read and I don't feel overwhelmed by too much information. It is also good that you are taking your time to post a new post in the same thread; it gives people time to respond to what...

    Grace vs Legalism

I've been preaching this doctrine for some time now...but it doesn't seem like it is very well received by most people. I'm thankful that there is someone, at least, who sees the truth and accepts it for what it is.

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

No, actually I was getting revenge over the fact that you accused me of lying about two to three weeks ago and made a huge deal about it, and would not let up. I have been merely answering a fool according to his folly. Consider: Pro 26:4, Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou...

    Grace vs Legalism

Actually, 1 John 1:8 tells us that if we say that we don't have indwelling sin, they deceive themselves and are in a state of lying, which is a SIN. However, indwelling sin can be rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any dominion over us (Romans 6:14)...

    Grace vs Legalism

I read about this doctrine as a young child. In a book that my stepdad had that promoted satanism. The thing is, the doctrine in question led me to believe in Jesus (because the word cannot return void; and it is a Bible verse). But the devil's purpose in it is to get people to believe in his...

    Grace vs Legalism

However, that is in the passive indicates to me that if we are active in pursuing the Lord, we can overcome this problem in humanity that we come short....in the present passive indicative.

    Grace vs Legalism

during. Consider that he who believes and is baptized "shall" be saved...the one who only believes "should" not perish...iffy. But believing alone still brings salvation...it is just not sealed in you until you are either baptized or else call on the name of the Lord. Love believes all...

Jesus is God in the Flesh!!

I would say that those who accept what the holy scriptures say at face value are in compliance with the Spirit of truth.

Jesus is God in the Flesh!!

Yet, you quoted previously a verse that said that there is a light that lighteth every man. So, I assume that you are saying that every man has the light of the Holy Spirit to help him to understand God's word. At the very least, He is available to anyone who asks for Him to illuminate the...
