    Sanctified by the BLOOD

We are commanded as ministers to save people: Jde 1:22, And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jde 1:23, And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. And therefore it is no heresy to say that a minister, in preaching the...

    entire sanctification revisited.

So, let me get this straight...you believe that Gentiles will not be judged by the law, is that correct? Consider the following scripture: Rom 2:12, For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Those...

    Sanctified by the BLOOD

It was not an anti-Catholic slur....it was an anti-Catholicism slur. I made it because I know that you are Catholic (but that as one, you don't necessarily follow after the Catholic doctrine that Mary is co-redeemer); so I made the statement in order to deal with this false doctrine that is...

Here's hoping that you are right... It wouldn't hurt to pray that you are right, I think.

    Spotting the Heretic

I know I'm butting in... But I would say that our obedience comes as the result of having been given eternal life.

    Sanctified by the BLOOD

Consider what is written in the holy scriptures: 1Pe 3:20, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 1Pe 3:21, The like figure whereunto even baptism doth...

    entire sanctification revisited.

Yet the whole world will be accounted as guilty before God because of what is written in the law (Romans 3:19-20). How then are they not under it? They are most certainly condemned as guilty because of it.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Let the reader be the judge of that; if you will not see what is clearly written. Eph 2:8, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9, Not of works, lest any man should boast. Tit 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done...

It makes the information more valid, impaho; because they are not trying to set it forth as a fulfillment of what is written in the book of Revelation. Did you notice that the patent # on the technology is 060606?

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Jesus was without sin (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5) until He became sin for us in order that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus became sin for us in His death on the Cross. He then rose from the dead and revived (Romans 14:9).

I would suggest also to you that your ability to understand the Catechism is just as limited as my ability to understand the Bible.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

And also, if the Catechism of the Catholic Church contradicts the clear teaching of holy scripture, I will believe scripture, thank you very much...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

It is a satanic proposition to suggest that the risen Jesus Christ might be tainted by sin; it would mean that satan got the victory. What this would mean for everything is that evil would turn in on itself eventually. Endless battles and wars until there is only one or none left standing.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

He most certainly cannot have sin in His Deity. And since His Deity and humanity are inexplicably intertwined, I don't believe that He can have sin in His humanity either.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Really? How does the context of 1 John 5:13 bear out that it ought not to be taken literally? I believe that 2 Corinthians 3:12 (kjv) shows clearly that unless it is clearly given as a parable or using figurative language, everything in scripture is to be taken literally. 2Co 3:12, Seeing...

And in doing so you ignore scripture and posts that are made that show the scriptural basis for why you are wrong.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I agree that we appropriate the blood of the Cross through faith... But redemption is merely offered to all...not given to all; because the gift of salvation must be received in order for it to take effect. It is misleading to say that all are redeemed by the Cross; because in saying it you...

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

I will not go so far as to say that...but I will go as far as to say that as long as I abide in Christ, I sin not (1 John 3:6); and that it is possible for a person to abide for evermore (1 John 2:17).

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

1 John 5:13 would tell us otherwise. John 5:24 would tell us otherwise. We pass from death unto everlasting life at the moment of first faith, according to this verse. We do not obtain salvation because we are worthy of it...but because of our faith (see Romans 4:5). We are recipients of...
