Just thought I would point people to the meat of the conversation.

entire sanctification is an obtainable goal.
[Hebrews 10:10 NASB] 10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

The word sanctified (ἡγιασμένοι = Strongs G37) in Hebrews 10:10 means “to purify by expiation, free from the guilt of sin” and is used in this meaning in each of the following verses:
  • 1 Corinthians 6:11
  • Ephesians 5:26
  • Hebrews 10:10
  • Hebrews 10:14
  • Hebrews 10:29
  • Hebrews 13:12
  • Hebrews 2:11

That is good...

But let's keep the discussion to the thread that I have linked you to.

I bumped the post up to the top; in this case so it would be located before the thread that it links to in the order of threads on the message board.
On this forum it is possible to delete your own posts. I would suggest deleting all of your bump posts except the last one. Then your purpose would be accomplished without having a whole bunch of intervening 'bump' posts which are confusing to someone who does not understand what you are doing.

That is a good idea, I think that I will do it.

I suppose that depends on what people believe is sin, since every one draws there own conclusion, nut sine no "sin" can seperate us from God because the believer has being "sanctifed" washed clean, of course "believe " is required, without faith we have nothing.

Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4); it is whatsoever is not of faith (Romans 14:23); it is not doing the good that we ought to do (James 4:17).

There may be other biblical definitions; I am not thinking exhaustively right now.

Sin is the transgression of the law
For sin to be transgression of the law, one must be under the law, sin existed long before Moses gave the Hebrews the Law, and Jesus never gave us Gentiles the Law He gave us grace. All that study and you still dont get it.

God never gave the Gentiles the law....and yet the law is the reason that all the world will become guilty before God (Romans 3:19-20).

God never gave the Gentiles the law; and yet the holy scriptures say this:

Gal 3:23, But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24, Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:25, But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Which is to say that before any of us came to Christ, we were kept under the law and that it was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ.

Therefore, the only ones who are not under a schoolmaster (the law) are those who have come to Christ and are born again!

I know the truth on this matter, friend. Do you?

We are also not under the law as believers; which is another reason why the man who is born of God cannot sin (1 John 3:9).

Who was HE talking to, when was the law ever given to the gentiles, it wasnt was it, so even as unbelievers men are not under the law.

Entire sanctification IS an obtainable goal.
1 Thess. 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet the whole world will be accounted as guilty before God because of what is written in the law (Romans 3:19-20). How then are they not under it? They are most certainly condemned as guilty because of it.
