The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

Satan indeed roams the earth, but so do God's guardian angels.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

IMO the "coming appointed wrath" is the bowl judgments of God in the second half of the tribulation (great tribulation, see Revelation 16:1-21). "Bowl" in this context refers to intense suffering, such as torture by hot oil poured from bowls.

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Hillsage noted: <Adam wasn't born a sinner> That was his certain fate, check out Romans 9:19. We are all actors in a play (Shakespeare, "All the World's a Stage").

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

The Bible says: "God has not appointed us to wrath" (1Thessalonians 1:10). It's in the Book.

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: Adam, as the man of the family, was responsible for what happened. The serpent was of course Satan, speaking through the serpent (Revelation 20:2). My understanding of "born again" (John 3:3-7) is by "water and the spirit." o. water= cleansing (because Jesus paid our penalty) o...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Hillsage asked: <Where is the name Adam in Romans 5:12?> The name Adam is given in Romans 5:14.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

<they go into the Presence of the Father when they die> Exodus 33:20 says: <...no man can see Me and live>

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: Sinning is a nature. We do not become natural sinners when we sin, rather we sin because we are natural sinners. It's called the "natural man." A dog does not become a dog when it barks, rather a dog barks because it is a dog.

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: A person does not become a sinner when he/she sins, rather we sin because we are all natural sinners. It's called the "natural man." Likewise a dog does not become a dog when it barks, rather a dog barks because it is a dog.

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: o "Baptize" stems from Greek βαπτιζειν = "Immerse in water." Similarly Latin batizare = "immerse in water." o It's a ritual of acknowledging and cleansing iniquities, and it is enjoined in Matthew 28:19-20. o Baptism indicates that Jesus paid our penalty for us, hence we are "cleansed"...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Hillsage noted: <Adam wasn't born a sinner> Bible noted: <"in Adam all sinned" (Romans 5:12) The question is, do we sin because we are sinners, or do we become sinners when we sin. God ordains everything, including human behavior: "for who resists his will" (Romans 9:19) Check out also...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: "Born of water" in this context indicates "reborn by spiritual cleansing, to negate the normal birth of "flesh." We are "born" as sinners, because our ancestor Adam sinned (Romans 5:12).

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: To clarify the point here: o English "baptize" stems from Greek βαπτιζω {baptizo) = "to immerse." o Baptism is commanded for believers in the New Testament (Matthew 28, 19-20, Mark 16:15-16). It is a ritual of cleansing that we are expected to follow. "Nicodemus" (Hebrew נקדימון)...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: o. In Romans 6:1-4 "baptism" is a ritual expressing "cleansing." o. "Baptize" stems from Greek βαπτιζω = "to immerse," i.e. it is a ritual of cleansing by water (Matthew 28:19) that believers are directed to follow. o Our cleansing of sin occurs by the sacrifice Jesus made (Isaiah 53:11)...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Anyone who is alive has been born once. Jesus said, "Unless one is born *anew* he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3, New Testament) o. Man was created body, soul, spirit. o. Body = form, a plant has a body. o. Soul = intelligence, a dog has a soul. o. Spirit = communion with God, a...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

IMO: Adam and Eve fellow-shipped with God, hard to imagine. God's timing is not our timing (2Peter 3:8). We think days, months years, God thinks millennia. o. First sign of the return of Jesus was the return of the nation of Israel. o. Second sign will be rebuilding the Jewish temple. o. Third...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

Spiritual Israelite noted: <no one but [Jesus] had been in heaven> IMO: Jesus said no one but himself had *ascended* to heaven (in his/her living body, John 3:13). The Apostle Paul *visited* heaven (2Corinthians 12:2).

Pentecost! Why such a special day?

Ben Abraham = "Son of Abraham," I honor God's chosen people, thank you for the compliment. :-)

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

    o. When Jesus comes in the sky and catches up believers (to remove them from the coming battleground) that will be the rapture. o. When Jesus subsequently comes with his mighty angels, those who were not raptured (rather are left) risk becoming vulture food (vultures love flesh). It's in the Book.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

Spiritual Israelite noted: <no one has ever gone into heaven> John 3:13 αναβεβηκεν = "ascended" (into heaven) is found in 2Corinthians 5:8: "No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man." (John 3:13). Jesus had been abiding in heaven, before he descended...
