Okay, well, likewise, where did Paul? Or David? Again, none of Calvin's writings were inspired by the Holy Spirit as Paul's or David's writings in the Bible, but still, the question is valid: Where did Paul or David ever say anything other than, basically, repentance is a good and necessary...

I'm not doing any such ridiculous thing. Goodness gracious. If you say, though, that John Calvin was a murderer because he approved of the execution of Christians, then, yes, even according to Scripture itself, you have to say the same of Paul (at that time Saul), who, according to Luke in...

I do believe, though, that Calvin was right about Biblical things, as opposed to Arminius, though. That I do... Was he not saved ~ a baseless and silly claim, of course ~ because he was a murderer? Because if so, then, to my point above, neither was David or Paul... Hmmm, yes, so maybe, Dan...

And why cannot what's being said there, rebuilder, only (as if it's some mere thing) to show the difference between one group and another, without any real reference to percentages or portions? Ah, well that we agree on... it's not nearly so "plain" ~ in the sense of being so overly simplistic...

Not mad, just... astounded. <smile> Who was taken away, Rebuilder? Who? <smile> Not the righteous... <chuckles> Ahhhh, appears,' hmmm.... <smile> But we don't have to rely on... 'appearances' (even though that's not the appearance at all)... Jesus Himself says who was taken away in those...

<chuckles> Ah, okay. <smile> Yes. <smile> Now that's interesting that you say that... "imagination"... Very interesting. <smile> I don't mean anything untoward by saying this, but I feel sure you will not understand what I mean by that... Right, agreed; we can all say that many things...

I know who John Calvin was. He was a sinner, just like David ~ oh yeah, how could I forget: and Paul ~ and the rest of us. Yes, he did some very sinful and possibly reprehensible things. But none of it nullifies the great things he said and wrote. Grace and peace to you.

    The taken and the left

During Noah’s flood ~ which was God's judgement, all but Noah and his family (and the animals, of course), all others were swept away. No one was “raptured.” So will it be at the end of the age. The unrepentant, those on Jesus’s left in the final Judgment, having been resurrected to judgment...

Young at heart, yes. Or at least I try to be. <smile> I’m well aware… <smile> It just struck me as totally irrelevant. <eye roll> They will depart, just as he tells them. And to what would you point in order to prove what you say here? They will not be taken in the sense you suppose, 1CL...

No. This smile was about the person I was talking to. Indeed. <eye roll> <eye roll> Good day, Anchorite. Grace and peace to you.

Nobody said they didn't... Hmmm... "And then will (Jesus) declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness’" (Matthew 7:23). "Then (Jesus) will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels...

He says, with no reasoning behind it... Well that might make some sense, if I was trying, in any way whatsoever, to prove man does not have free will... And again, to say man has no free would be basically to say man does not have a brain and no ability to think, both of which are...

    The taken and the left

Ahhh, well, not really willingly, but obediently... per Jesus's command. He will tell them, "Depart from Me, for I never knew you..." They will be able to do no other. <shudder> Weeeeeeeeeellllllllllll, sorrrrrtaaaaaaa... <smile> It's not like they will be able to fight against Jesus's...

Hmmm... The first resurrection is Jesus's, of course, now over 2000 years in the past. Christians come to "share in that resurrection" (Revelation 20:5), each at his own appointed time in his or her life... this is when we, individually, are born again and "made alive together with Christ ~...

<sigh> No... no, they don't, Danny Boy. They... "claim"... because God's Word is very clear on it... Jesus is, in fact, and Paul and Peter... that as a result of the fall, man is dead in the sin in which he walks and follows the course of this world, follows the prince of the power of the air...

Well first of all, the devil never said such a stupid thing, and second (last) of all Calvin (and Calvinists of course) don't believe such a stupid thing. Well this is true for all... They falsely believe that Calvinists claim that, yes. <smile> I mean, if God actually wanted anyone to go to...

It was rhetorical, which I guess you missed (again)... The bolding and enlarging of the word 'can't' was intentional and suggestive, which, truth be told I don't know whether you really missed or not, but the point is what I have said, at least in effect, many times: you refuse to accept that...

Why would you tell anybody to choose anything, if they... can't ...think or make decisions? I mean humility is a great thing; you might give it a try. But aside from that, yet another total miss... Cheers, though. Grace and peace to you.
