The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Ohhhh, but I have... "and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls." I think that's the 'and' you're referring to, but it seems you're not... accounting for... "among the survivors," from which we can easily discern that not all the "survivors" are called, but only some/many. So...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Ah. Well... fair enough. <smile> <eye roll> Well, see, you say that, but... <smile> Ohhhh, several things... <smile> <chuckles> Disagree with that, too. Yes, I realize you are referring to Acts 2:17, where Peter is referring directly to Joel 2:28. It would behoove you ~ and you may say...

Who is Paul discussing in 2 Thessalonians 2?

I'll just say this, claninja. We know that God ~ the Holy Spirit ~ is the real Author of Scripture... or should, anyway (2 Timothy 3:16:17); He is. And I would say that His work did not end there but is still ongoing; He upholds, sustains, and protects the integrity of God's Word even today...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Not really, but I have no problem with you taking it that way. I mean, it should be an assurance to all of us. God's Word is filled with those... <smile> Hmmm... sounds to me like you just feel disrespected to some degree, which... yeah, I understand. Grace and peace to you.

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Agreed. Along with a couple other things, but we can leave it at that, I think. From a human perspective, that’s sometimes true. But God’s Word never returns to Him void, or empty; it always accomplishes the purpose for which it is sent. He said so (through Isaiah, of course). <smile>...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Being men (and women), we all do that, you know, because we're men and women... <chuckles> ...unless there's something you're not telling us... <smile> So you are too, but, um... really strange men... <chuckles> I'm... kidding... <smile> Sometimes yes, sometimes no; it depends on the topic...

Who is Paul discussing in 2 Thessalonians 2?

This seems to be the problem, @claninja... Paul is not "correcting" anything, but rather alleviating fears, specifically regarding those among them who had died... and any of them who might die before Christ's return... would be excluded from Christ's return and the final salvation that He will...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Right, and He ~ Jesus, of course ~ is the cornerstone (Psalm 118:22, Isaiah 28:16, Zechariah 10:4, Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17, Acts 4:11, Ephesians 2:20, 1 Peter 2:6-7) William, the temple God is building ~ of which God is the designer and builder ~ is a people, not a building, and...

Hmmm, well, maybe, but the sentence itself is a conflation of the "dots," really, which was my point. Ah, no, what you have said is... ambiguous, in and of itself. Hmmm... <chuckles> 'Seem' ~ to you, of course ~ being the key word there... And I'll use the same word; you seem to "realize"...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

In the sense that He, "according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace," as Paul says in Ephesians 1:4-5, has called many "out of darkness and into His marvelous light," as Peter says in 1 Peter 2:9, yes. And,,, well, more specifically from the time of Adam's fall in...

So... trying to understand you, Scott... You think the final Judgment has been occurring throughout time, ever since... I guess... Adam's and Eve's fall? Is that your understanding? Grace and peace to you.

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Okay, well I haven’t. That actually sounds a bit egotistical… Anyway, yeah I’m not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China… unless maybe you’ve been sent there… I just asked who you think is being sent and by whom… Wow. Okay yeah I was way wrong about what you would say…...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

What do you think, Scott, is being sent? And by whom? I mean you don't have to answer, certainly; I think I know what you'd say. Nooooo... <smile> More like ~ an a little different sense as Job and David, of course ~ "How long, O Lord?" <chuckles> Grace and peace to you.

Okay, I mean this with just some humor, here, and that's all, really: Grace and peace to you.

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Disagree. Strongly. There is a destruction happening, and one day... (there it is again... <smile>) ...one day there will be no more darkness. We agree on that, I think. But the nature of this destruction it seems we do and will continue to disagree on. Like you say, though, so be it. I...

Nope. If you're going to continue to insult my intelligence, so be it, but I reserve the right to react accordingly. An eye for an eye, as it were, but far be it from me to repay evil with evil. But... "attitude"... is very prevalent on this board, unfortunately, along with combativeness...

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Pardon me, but... ugh. I mean, you won't "pardon me," but okay... Agreed... Is this... one question? Or like two or three? Is Christ's return yet future to us, Scott? Isn't it? Sure. Hmmmm... Grace and peace to you.

The Date of the Lord delivering Israel.

Fair enough... and I might respond to some of your responses. Okay, well, again, nothing disparaging intended in anything I have said or will say. But Scott, I'm really not concerned with... or about... your "feelings," to be frank. Well... partially, yes. Hm. Yes, so be it. And... right...
