    Royal Priests of Eden

But on second thought it may not be the same, as Christ's authority is greater than that of Adam and Eve before the fall. Jesus' authority is over heaven and earth. Adam's authority was merely over the creatures on earth. Jesus is God of the living and the dead. He holds the keys to death and...

    Royal Priests of Eden

I hadn't considered that there may be a connection between the order of Malkizidek and the authority granted to man in the garden. I believe that Malkizidek was granted some degree of prophetic insight into the reign of Christ. Jesus restored authority to man, through his own obedience to God.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I'm not an expert on what other people believe. It is by definition a carnal way of thinking, because it doesn't consider that our perspective may not represent reality.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

Yes, I believe eternity is inherently timeless. I think most would conceptualize eternity as being within time as we know it, just a very very long time.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

God being outside of time is not a problem, it fits perfectly with how he is described in scripture.

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

It originates from problems with the concept of eternity within a timeless existence. If something is truly timeless it should never change. If it does change then both states of being must be valid simultaneously. For example the new heaven is accessable now, to those who believe in Jesus...

    "Before Abraham Was, I AM"

I have an unsubstantiated belief that timelessness is on a scale. At one end of the spectrum is total timelessness, and this is the reality for God. In the middle is time delineated by God speaking. This is what is experienced in heaven, and is the default state for his creation. Each word...

How many former Catholics are here?

Except Apples is not looking to discuss scripture and denominations. But he is trying to Justify himself before his fellow man by diminishing Christianity. And I think he argues that it is hypocritical for Christians to believe they know God's will when they interpret scripture, using the...

How many former Catholics are here?

It is written, "Let God be true and every man a Liar." So it doesn't matter to me what Groups 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 or 10 say. And I don't have to answer to them anyways. But everyone will have to answer to God.

    Respectful Bible burning

I didn't recall feeling any conviction when trashing the NWT version my grandmother was gifted after she died.

    Respectful Bible burning

Some people really have something against receiving something for nothing. Perhaps the Bible being damaged will soften that objection.

    "A ticket to ride"

I'm coming to doubt that there is such a thing as a basic ticket to ride. Everyone must live by the Spirit, and failing to do so will find someone inevitably lead astray. if they have the Spirit but never repent and put on Christ that is a huge failure. I wouldn't want to find out that Jesus...

How many former Catholics are here?

If some belief or practice can not be found in scripture it is by definition unscriptural. But not all disagreements between denominations come down to something being unscriptural. Most of the time people choose to believe some scriptures but will ignore others. For example we are to love our...

    What makes a doctrine false?

Perhaps that is one reason why we have heaven and hell in the statement of faith. But the risk is mitigated by other warmings against sin. What actually happens after death should not impact the living being saved. However other parts of the statement of faith are very much essential to...

    The 6-7 trend

The video doesn't provide any direct evidence that the 6-7 trend is demonic.

    What makes a doctrine false?

If there is a disagreement about foundational truths it may be wise not to move past them. Because you know that anything preached that builds on those rejected truths would also be rejected.

    Scientific Breakthroughs

They made a nuclear powered plane once. All that is required is a way to heat the air.

    Air Freshener?

Umm, I don't think demons are deterred by air fresheners.

    The Color of Righteousness

I've heard people say the truth is racist, when speaking of real world statistics. So I think one can go to the opposite extreme in an effort to avoid appearing racist. 1. No, God doesn't make mistakes. Melanin in the skin helps resist skin cancer. Which helps a lot in warmer climates where...

    Furries

That verse sounds like it speaks of idolatry. But idolatry is demon worship. So there may be a connection. In shamanic religions demons usually take animal forms. But it is believed they originated as giants who died in the flood. So perhaps the demons were the first furrys. And humans are...
