When Did Jesus Go to Egypt?

It does: And he (Herod) sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”” Further on in the chapter we read: “Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise...

Did the Apostle Paul believe in a forever burning hell?

But what makes you think that the disciples, in saying "fire to come down from heaven" were referring to hell? Hell is separate from heaven, so fire from heaven cannot be hell.

When Did Jesus Go to Egypt?

We don't need to look at a non-canonical book to show that the wise men found Jesus at Bethlehem, because Matthew makes it clear: “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been...

When Did Jesus Go to Egypt?

No contradiction. The circumcision took place on the 8th day after His birth. The visit of the wise men took place up to 2 years after His birth, which is why we read: “Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all...

    The Gospel

But Exodus 23:20 says: ““Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.” (Ex 23:20 NKJV) The words are to the Children of Israel on their way to the Promised Land. God promised that He would send an angel or messenger to lead...

    The Gospel

If by "Yohannei the Immerser" you mean the same person most of us who speak English call "John the Baptist" or "John the Baptiser," do you believe that he was somehow alive at the time referred to in Exodus 23?

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

But the NT isn't just about historical facts, is it: It's about doctrine (teaching) too, When Jesus told the disciples to love one another, or when He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life," I suppose the fact that He said those words is historical, but the teaching those words contain is...

Is the gospel for the saved or the unsaved?

I would say both. We have verses like this about the gospel being preached to unbelievers: “And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the...

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

Paul write to Timothy: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” (2Ti 3:16 NKJV) The word translated "inspiration of God" is the Greek word theopneustos, which I am told means literally...

    Flat Earth Theory

Well, if they are on earth and not in bodily form, they are spiritual entirely, and completely unaffected by gravity.

    Loosing Angels?

I wonder which bible passage you are thinking of that says we can bind evil spirits. I'm not saying that there isn't one, just that I cannot think of it. I certainly don't know of any passage from the bible that mentions us having the ability to loose angels. Loose them from what?

    Flat Earth Theory

That is not true. Gravity was discovered hundreds of years before NASA was formed.

    Flat Earth Theory

The bible tells us that God's angels are spiritual beings, although they sometimes appear to people in bodily form.

Take heed and beware of the leaven (doctrine) of the Pharisees and Sadducees (False Teachers) today.

Sorry, I really wasn't trying to be a smarty-pants. (Whoops! I have misread what you wrote - you wanted to call yourself a smart-pants.) I suppose the change of the calendar could explain the discrepancy.

Take heed and beware of the leaven (doctrine) of the Pharisees and Sadducees (False Teachers) today.

Well, the shortest day in the UK is 21st December, but it depends where in the world you are. In Australia, the shortest day is in June. I agree with the rest of your post, though.

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

True, but many, maybe most, Jews were expecting a military Messiah to defeat the Romans.

    DOES WATER BAPTISM FORGIVE SINS?

The Scriptures say: “and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1Jo 1:7 NKJV)

    Flat Earth Theory

When the sun sets, if it was just moving further and further away from us, it would appear to get smaller and smaller until it was too far away to be visible. But that is not what we see. At sunset, the sun gradually disappears below the horizon, so that halfway trough the sunset, we just see...

    Flat Earth Theory

Also, Isaiah 40:22 does not say that the earth is a circle. It mentions the circle or circuit of the earth, but that doesn't mean that the earth is a circle. That would be like saying that "He climbed to the top of the hill" means that the hill is a top, which of course is nonsense.
