    KJV and some goof ups

I mentioned earlier that since the first publication of the KJV of 1611, of which there have literally been thousands of corrections to it, many Greek Manuscripts have been discovered. How one or two of those manuscripts were discovered are interesting stories. More than 200 years after the...

    KJV and some goof ups

He should have never put it in there! The King James Version (KJV) was originally published, in 1611, by the royal printer, Robert Barker. In the margins of that very first edition, there were some 8,422 notes. Several of these notes indicate that a particular verse itself may not be...

    Phileo and Agape Love

One of the most famous events in ancient history was the assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar on the Ides of March in 44 BC. Some 200 years later, a Roman historian named Dion Cassius, described the funeral that followed. Of particular interest was this sentence he penned: “You loved him as...

Do we have free will or are we predestined?

Can someone define predestination? And then define free will. I don't see predestination related to obtaining eternal life!!

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

Didn't quite follow your concern here or your comment. A better translation for a man being justified before man could be translated "vindicated." Please note that this justification/vindication does not imply salvation. Justification before God is to salvation.

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

It is important to remember that there are two justifications in Scripture. Abe justified before man, does not mean that he was not justified before God also. Am I misunderstanding your questions?

Excuse Me - Your But's In The Way

I hope you don't mean "a LEAP" of faith. It would be that if there was no Holy Spirit to CONVINCE us the truth of the Gospel.

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

Do you know how many verses you are asking him to give you? That has always been my pet peeve out here, we should all be familiar with the Scriptures so that we don't have to give ALL THE PASSAGES. If you don't know where all (or even one) the passages are, simply use a concordance, or google it.

A BLATANT ERROR IN THE NEW BIBLES

Your response is not that of a serious bible student.

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

The reason most people give for believers being able to lose their salvation is sin. Sins have all been paid for. Nobody's eternal destiny can be determined by sin. In fact, sins are not imputed to the person coming them, rather they were imputed to Christ on the Cross. (see 2 Cor 5). Also, Paul...

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

Those who love the Lord, do not want to sin. Did you know that the word sin never appears in any eternal judgment passage? I Cor 15 is a good example of that. But Paul says to turn that believer over to satan so that he will ultimately be saved/delivered.

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

Yes, God does not hand out possible salvation, but eternal salvation. Now the new Christian does not have to work for this salvation that God freely gives. Immediately he is confronted with the love of God. Remember a person is not saved by holding on for dear life. And eternal condemnation is...

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

Sorry, don't quite follow what you are saying? This is know: The Scriptures know nothing of a "converted believer." Could you clarify this statement?

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

The seed that remains IN HIM is a reference to the doctrine of Positional Truth. The seed is the Holy Spirit. This verse is not at all complicated. WHILE a believer is temporarily IN HIM. So, what John is saying, is that WHILE a believer is in fellowship (all known sins confessed in the...

Who, can Not Sin and Why?

It does if you distort OSAS position. Just to put this in perspective: OSAS is not a freedom to sin, but a freedom to serve.

    Unity

This way of approaching truth is very dangerous. The fundamental clarity of Scripture is brought into question, the teachings we don't agree on may be vital to our Christian life. Perhaps you could give us a few examples of things you say we don't agree on.

Receive the HS, how today ?

Luke is not saying that 1. repent, 2. be baptized, 3. receive the gift of the HS are ALL REQUIRED for salvation. Paul and Peter both had the same gospel message. Peter's presentation was more so for Jews, while Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles. You may have unknowingly picked a transitional...

What is the Origin of Lucifer and the Logos? The Origin of the Logos of God

This post is not even close to Evangelical Theology. Much of what is said in your is blasphemy. I certainly hope you read more books about the Word (LOGOS) of God and the Son of God from an Evangelical viewpoint. Get Norman Geisler's Systematic Theology. This comes in four Volumes and is very...

    THE FAKE KJV ONLY ARGUMENT

I get the feeling that you are not well studied on Textual Criticism. Not one quote would confirm your assertions on the KJV. The fact of the matter is you should not be reading TRANSLATIONS or VERSIONS. All of us should be studying from the NT manuscripts, and those that are closest to the...
