The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

Which brings up this point. If the temple is still the holy place, that seems to imply their beef with them defaming the temple would be legit.

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

As long as it is answered, why does it matter? It would be different if it wasn't answered in Luke 21 as well. It's still one Discourse regardless that it is spread throughout 3 different accounts. But I have other reasons why I conclude what I do. Daniel 12 being one of those reasons. Plus what...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

One thing you and I have in common is this. We both are staying consistent throughout the Discourse, while some others aren't. @Spiritual Israelite being one good example. For example, Matthew 24:15-30. Because you take verses 15-26 to be involving the first century leading up to 70 AD, you...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

When Jesus spoke those words 2 Thessalonians 2:4 hadn't even been written yet. But even so, why should we assume that Jesus, who was also a prophet, would have no insight into 2 Thessalonians 2:4 and what all that involves, at the time? My point being this. Maybe the holy place is meaning the...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

Yes they did and Luke 21 addresses that. That doesn't mean Matthew 24 addresses it as well. Especially in light of Daniel 12 and what I argued in post #93. Debunk that first before you can conclude you are correct and that I am wrong.

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

Think about it in this manner. A4E defiled a literal temple. The temple meant in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 also gets defiled, except it is not meaning a literal temple. OTOH, Judas also defiled a temple, but not a literal temple. Therefore, in my mind Judas is a better type than A4E. Can there be more...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

What I just posted in post #93 proves it since Daniel 12 proves that Matthew 24:15-21 can't be pertaining to 70 AD to begin with..

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

Yes, I realize that. Which then means that question in particular involves what Jesus said in Matthew 24:2. The questions the disciples asked once they reached the Mount of Olives require being connected to something said earlier. No one starts a conversation by asking questions that have no...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

Unlike some around here, mainly meaning Preterists and those that align with Preterist thinking but are not Preterists, in general I like to dig deeper first, before coming to any final conclusions about things. Before they went to the mount of Olives the subject involved the temple they were...

The fallacy of believing Jesus was talking about the temple of stones on the Mount of Olives

In Matthew 24 what are you applying Daniel 9:26-27 to, where it appears you apparently take Daniel 9:26-27 to be involving 70 AD? Thus begs the question, but what do you take in Matthew 24 to be involving 70 AD? We have to keep in mind, per Daniel 9:26-27 abominations are involved for some of...

The "sudden destruction" from which unbelievers "will not escape" on the day of the Lord will be caused by fire coming down on the earth.

Roger, on one hand it seems you might be agreeing with me that the goats don't represent all of the lost from the beginning of time through the end of time. While OTOH you are bringing the GWTJ into the discussion. Therefore, I'm a bit confused by your reply overall. From what I can tell, at...

The "sudden destruction" from which unbelievers "will not escape" on the day of the Lord will be caused by fire coming down on the earth.

Post #352 had nothing to do with Chatgpt, but the following does. After I made that post I then asked Chatgpt the following, curious about it's opinion. BTW, it's pretty sad when something like Chatgpt has better discernment than some professed Christians do at times. ------------------- Me...

The "sudden destruction" from which unbelievers "will not escape" on the day of the Lord will be caused by fire coming down on the earth.

Matthew 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels...

The "sudden destruction" from which unbelievers "will not escape" on the day of the Lord will be caused by fire coming down on the earth.

Since you once again indicated I'm hard to follow at times, and BTW, Chatgpt doesn't appear to have any issues with following me, I then used chatgpt to try and make it clearer to you what all I'm arguing and why I'm arguing what I am. This does not equal me getting my theology from Chatgpt like...

The "sudden destruction" from which unbelievers "will not escape" on the day of the Lord will be caused by fire coming down on the earth.

i choose to address your post like such. But if it's not satisfactory, sue me, I guess. Be warned though, it ended up being somewhat lengthy, unfortunately. And when you type with one finger only like I do, it's not like I typed all of that out in a minute or 2 like you typically might if you...

Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. This verse is a lie then?

I tend to think the sheep and goats judgment and appearing before Christ's judgment seat are the same judgment. What I don't think is, that either of those is meaning the great white throne judgment. But I do at least agree that it is absurd that appearing before Christ's judgment seat pertains...

    Symbolism

And you have proof that after someone was created and or formed, whether it be a human or an animal, that they experienced thousands of uncountable years before the fall ever took place? Yet it was after the fall when we see the following being mentioned for the first time. Genesis 6:1 And it...

TODAY IS NOT GOD'S GATHERING OF ISRAEL

Why should I think anyone dies during a future millennium when it is not until after the millennium anyone ever dies again? Adam was mortal and almost lived an entire thousand years. Therefore, it is not absurd that mortals could live an entire thousand years and then some. But even if I'm...
