    The Way to Salvation

It depends what you have received. Jesus said that being saved involves being born again. How can you lose birth?

DID THE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS SPEAK OF THE MYSTERY?

I agree, except Saul didn't become Paul. Saul was his Hebrew name, and Paul his Roman name (he had dual nationality). He didn't have a name change like Abram/Abraham, Simon/Peter, etc.

    Moses

Thank you for those reassuring words - I had been thinking that you were accusing me of playing games. I didn't Google anything. I did a search on my bible software program for bible verses which include the two words "body" and Moses", and there is just one, but it says nothing about anybody...

    Moses

I am not sure what I said that caused you to reply that way. I never suggested that discussing these matters was some kind or game, or that I have any unfriendliness toward you. My response concerned these words of yours: "Scripturally Moses' body was found by two individuals, and a witness...

    Jesus is God

That is not so at all. People who believe in the Trinity do not believe that God only resides in the three "persons." They believe that God exists as three "Persons." For example, the apostle John writes of the Son, Whom he refers to as the Word, like this: 1 In the beginning was the...

    Moses

Just saying that scripturally the body of Moses was found by two individuals is not enough. Where does scripture say this? The only bible verse I know that includes the words "body" and "Moses" is this one: “Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the...

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

But the context of that verse is not talking to Gentiles or evolutionists, but to His disciples. This thread, I thought, is about evolutionist Gentiles.

    Salvation : Is Finished.

But although Adam and Eve were created perfect, they didn't remain so. They disobeyed God, and ate the fruit of the one tree that God had forbidden them. That was why God expelled them from Eden. The prodigal son was not perfect. He was greedy and selfish.

When the Pulpit Becomes a Paycheck

In that case the preacher doesn't even need to mention translations. He either avoids talking about the doctrines he doesn't believe, or he misrepresents them.

    Jesus is God

He was God long before His birth in Bethlehem. In fact He was always God. As John writes at the beginning of his gospel: “1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him...

When the Pulpit Becomes a Paycheck

In that case, I hope you are aware that the translators of the KJV (or "AV" as they would have known it) did not claim perfection for their translation.
  12. David Lamb

When the Pulpit Becomes a Paycheck

Not necessarily. It depends what he is claiming is a better translation. As you will know, the bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek, so all Engish bibles are translations. Suppose the preacher was preaching on Acts 21. He comes to verse 15, which in the KJV says: 15 And after...

    Moses

There is, as far as I know, no biblical reference to anybody finding the corpse of Moses.

JOHN 3:1 ISRAEL MUST BE BORN AGAIN

But what do we find in the bible concerning Paul? Certainly not that he encouraged people by trickery to follow him instead of Jesus Christ. He himself wrote: “1 ¶ And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2...

Patterns that exist in the KJV only

I should have explained that the bible software I use counts the number of occurrences, not the number of verses, for the word searched for.

    Who Are God’s Chosen People?

So what does the choosing mean? We are told in Ephesians 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy...

Patterns that exist in the KJV only

But 70 X 7 is 490, so (70 X 7) + (70 X 7) is 980. The name "Jesus" occurs 942 times in the KJV, not 980. Then the next column claims that there are 777 mentions of the name "Jesus" (though the first column said 980), and 777 mentions of the title "Christ". In fact there are 942 mentions of...

Inspired or inspiring? - The case for biblical inerrancy and inspiration.

I have just looked at 4 threads. On clicking on the latest posts in them, they are all the same, nothing to do with the thread itself, but your message advertising the fact that you have started a new topic somewhere else. I am not criticising, but just wondering why, and thinking that the...
