Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

I just quoted Peter's verse too brother. What does the END mean? Scratching my head here, hmmmm.....thinking really hard.....I conclude it must mean just what it says......the end. One's FINAL state, not a coming back from it. It is appointed unto man but once to die, and then the...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Spiritual language............poetic and often the use of hyperbole. We need to ears to hear what the SPIRIT is saying. All flesh refers to both Jew and Gentile. I see in these passage the generous offering of salvation to all and the love of God that hopes all things, God opening His arms...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

You're very consistent in your habit of ignoring so much..... cherry picking again.....you need to read the whole passage and context of Mark 9......it agrees with this: 1Pe 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Those verses are very good news.....for whosoever will. Unfortunately not everyone is willing. God in His foreknowledge has created some to be vessels of His mercy and some to be vessels of wrath. The unbelieving are already called "children of wrath"....as we all once were. What does it...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Please take notice that this applies to those who at least have the foundation, which is Christ. It is clearly speaking of believers, not unbelievers. We can either build on that foundation with spiritual materials of God and His Spirit that can withstand the fire, or those of our own fleshly...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Lake of fire......is not man's invention but was prepared for the devil and his angels, into which all wicked and unbelieving who are not in the Lamb's book of life will be cast when they are judged. I mean that is what the bible says. Jesus also referred to it allegorically as gehenna.....a...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Yes, it must be in this lifetime. since "it is appointed unto man but once to die and after that the judgment." There are only two resurrections after death....one is to eternal life and the other is to shame and condemnation....as scripture also says....everyone will have their part in either...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

All of fallen humankind who are without Christ still IS abiding under the wrath of God, according to scripture. We dont' get to just make this up as we go along, but we live by the word of God. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Looking at that whole verse: Heb 7:25 Wherefore he (Christ) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him (Christ), seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Amen. It doesn't seem as though @St. SteVen understands unbelievers are under the wrath of God and condemned already, as scripture says.....they are already drowning, sadly, but don't know it, as none of us did. God is not threatening to do it to anybody, so much as everyone has done it to...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

That is not the approach Jesus took. He was much more tactful than that, and preferred to extol the benefits and blessings and simple truth of believing in Him, while not withholding the truth about judgment at the same time. If there is no judgment, there is no mercy either...because mercy is...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

I think of it in terms of God's sovereignty based on His foreknowledge....since the bible says we are "elect according to His foreknowledge". He gives people the opportunity to repent, but if they keep refusing they become hardened...it is like a natural consequence. And the Lord, having long...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Amen, well said. The bible also says the Lord does not willingly afflict the children of men...and yet we see many do get afflicted, including believers..

The broad spectrum of Christianity VERSUS the narrow-minded view

The alternative to the narrow way is destruction. Think you need to ponder that. The prophet cried, 'though the number of the Israelites be as the sands of the seashore, only a remnant will be saved'. This is true of the Gentiles/nations/world as well....Israel is our example that we are to...

Is Jesus the Saviour of the whole World?

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. The world/age to come will be...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

My understanding of sin in a nutshell is that it is when man or devil goes their own way instead of God's. Essentially it is rebellion against God's will and way. Do you have a different understanding of it?

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

The bible says He is willing that no-one should perish. It is not His explicit will.

Is Jesus the Saviour of the whole World?

It was to the JEWS Jesus was speaking when He said that His kingdom is not of this world and cometh not with observation that we may say lo here it is, or there. They were mistakenly expecting an earthly messiah/king to rule earthly Israel and the world in an earthly kingdom....and Jesus was...

Is Jesus the Saviour of the whole World?

For someone to talk of the new birth that way, it makes me think it's likely because they have not experienced it. Receiving Christ, the Lord of Heaven no less, to live within us, who miraculously turns our life around, writes His laws on our hearts, translates us from darkness to light and...

Why doesn't your "whole Bible view" include Universalism?

Is it ever God's explicit will that anybody should sin? I don't think so, but He foreknows and foresees everything that man and devil would do, and has woven it all into His sovereign purposes, which first and foremost have to do with Satan's rebellion and spiritual war, I believe.
