Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

You keep dodging the question because YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T ANSWER IT, friend. The answer is that there is no "spiritual rest" that "remains" for or is the "duty" of the saint to enter - because he's already entered it! The only "rest" that "remains" for the saint to enter or is the "duty" of the...

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

You completely ignored the question. How can a "spiritual" rest "remain" for the Christian or be his "duty" to fulfill when the Christian has already entered that rest and has already fulfilled that duty? Braklite, do you see what we're dealing with here?

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

YOUR HEBREWS 4:9 ARGUMENT DIES THE DEATH IT DESERVES RIGHT HERE: I contend "Sabbatismos" refers to literal weekly Sabbath rest that "remains" (Textus Receptus MSS) for every Christian to enter, and is the "duty" (Syriac tradition MSS) of every Christian to fulfill - every seventh day Sabbath in...

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

Oh no? The Peshitta "Syriac tradition" which is the closest thing to the KJV Textus Receptus out there uses "qym" in Hebrews 4:9 which is absolutely correctly translated "duty": [9] It is therefore the duty (Syriac "qym": "valid" or "legally binding due to having been executed in compliance...

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

No matter how much we clarify that obedience is merely evidence of salvation, not a medium of exchange for it, they always resort to the strawman "legalism" argument - they do so because they know they're helpless to gainsay the truth. That requires an objective, sincere effort, which they will...

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

You do realize that the NC has God writing "My laws in their minds and on their hearts", right? Those who refuse to obey God's commandments disqualify themselves as unfit for heaven - they actually think they're going into heaven doing that which caused Satan and his angels to be thrown out! LOL

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

Scripture says those who are truly resting inwardly in Jesus will rest outwardly every 7th day from their work "as God did from His".

Good gravy, how ridiculous it is to conclude that commandments written on the heart are not followed by the hand! No, "written on the heart" means that we KEEP them!

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

No, I keep trying to teach stubbornly ignorant rebels that the Ten Commandments are NOT Mosaic, didn't begin at Sinai and end at the Cross, and are written on the hearts of NC Christians. Do you really think those who lived before Sinai didn't know that murder, lying, theft, etc., was unlawful...

See, you somehow aren't understanding that JESUS IS THE GOD OF THE OT WHO SPOKE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS AND WROTE THEM ON THE STONE TABLES. But, Jesus Himself said if commandment breakers are unwilling to do His will, they'll never really know what the truth is, right?

So, today when you "fulfill" the speed limit law, tomorrow you can break that bad boy all you want, right? LOL (The Ten Comms "stand fast forever and ever" meaning they ain't never gonna to be finished.)

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

The claim that the Ten Commandmetns are Mosaic has got to be the weakest of all Antinomian arguments.

"Blessed are they which do His commandments that they might have right to the Tree of Life" -- you commandment breakers must have one heckuva Contingency Plan ;)

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

Still no comment about why we can't lie, kill, steal, though Jesus is our truth, life, and reward, but somehow since Jesus is our rest, we're supposed to forget the only day that begins with "REMEMBER", right? LOL
  15. Phoneman777

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

"Fulfill" doesn't mean "do away with" as you and the rest of the Antinomian crowd claim. It means "keep" as in "fulfill an obligation". If "fulfill" means "do away with" then "all righteousness" was done away with when Jesus was baptized, and there's no more righteousness in existence, right?

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

The Ten Commandments are "Old Covenant Law" - they were around LONG BEFORE the OC. What you need to understand is that they didn't BEGIN at Sinai - they were CODIFIED at Sinai. Look up "codified".

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

Trust in who? The Lord? Nah, those who truly trust in the Lord demonstrate that by doing what the Lord says. Those who trust in the arm of flesh do what the flesh wants - like breaking God's commandments and teaching others to do the same.
  18. Phoneman777

Here is why, as an Adventist, I believe America is in Trouble.

Jesus is our truth - can we now start lying? Jesus is our reward - can we now start stealing? Jesus is our faithfulness - can we now start sleeping with the neighbor's wife? See, honest Christians seeking truth are watching you fail to address my "logic progression" of your ideas, and your...

Understanding the 'Little Horn' power of Prophecy in Daniel.

After many years, I've earned the status of "professional" - you will address me as such, thank you. I'm not sure about that, but anyone who claims to "take the place of Christ" and that God and Christ "subscribe" to the whims of a sinful priest is pretty blasphemic. Because Bible prophecy...

LOL "I have kept My Father's commandments". - John 15:10. Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying "Woe unto them that call good evil and evil good."
