OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

And how exactly do you decide who the "faithful" are? Is there a poll for that too?

OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THERE IS NO SALVATION

Well, as far as the number of people that identify themselves as either Catholic, Protestant, or orthodox Christian, the stats I've seen show Catholics far out numbering all other categories. You can make of that what you will.

    Regarding the Holy Ghost

It is omnipresence, but the point that I'm making is that it is not how the Bible defines the nature of Gods omnipresence. The Bible defines his presence as basically seeing all. You can bury yourself thirty feet under in a bunker, it won't matter, because God is there, and he see's it all from...

    Regarding the Holy Ghost

m'kay, well, I basically don't see how I'll find God hiding under a rock as you said. If it was that easy, I'm sure atheism would have died out long ago.

    Regarding the Holy Ghost

There is a difference between being everywhere present, and being within everything present. When you say that God is in the rocks, and the tree's, that is pantheism. When the Bible describes his presence, its never described as anything of the kind. He isn't described as some all encompassing...

    Regarding the Holy Ghost

This all sounds nice, but it honestly sounds more like typical pantheistic, eastern religious dogma that God is within everything and everything is within God, effectively eliminating the distinction between God and the creation. Its taught under the title "new age" even though there is nothing...

Have you ever been challenged to, say, call for a healing?

I have been asked to pray for a healing at least once that I can recall. The first one had to do with his tooth. He was scheduled to get his tooth removed and the pain was nagging him to no end, so he just asked me to "heal him". He came back days later and told me that he was no longer in pain...

    Blood washed question

The very notion of someone claiming to have had a vision from God of themselves being covered in blood should be dismissed outright. The only individual that I recall ever being described in such a way at all is Jesus in revelation. This doesn't have to be about what I feel when I say it...

    Your welcome........

Why did God need to give us free will, or did He need to? Do we really have it?

Well others may explain it to you as if you already made the choice, implying that we existed in some pre-incarnate form, before we were in our mothers womb. This is not how I was trying to explain it because nothing about it is scriptural. When God told Jeremiah that he knew him before he was...

Why did God need to give us free will, or did He need to? Do we really have it?

So how does this belief fit in with the verse below? How can you say he made some to be damned when scripture clearly states that its not his wish that any should perish? According to God, he didn't have to foreordain anyone to damnation, because as far as he saw it the whole world already...

Why did God need to give us free will, or did He need to? Do we really have it?

From Gods vantage point, what we see as us "acting out our choices" has already occurred to God. To God, this is the choice every soul has made: If this is what one wants to call "fatalism", then so be it. It was Peter's fate that he would deny Jesus Christ three times before the rooster...

    Boycott the NFL

.........WOW...........I can just feel the love of God and neighbor in this response. I can dish out the name calling as well as I can take. If I did, the moderators wouldn't be too pleased, because that no good thing within me that Paul referred to can rear its ugly head and get real...

    Watch out for angels

    Well there you go. :D

    Watch out for angels

An instance of one preaching it is irrelevant. What actually matters is that there isn't a verse stating that they don't. Instead, we get verses strongly suggesting they do, with one in Revelation clearly stating they WILL, if not already.

    Watch out for angels

Well, I don't understand why you have a problem with an angel of all things preaching the gospel to someone. There is a reason why they are called "ministering spirits". You don't really think they are all up there just sitting around on their hands doing nothing do you? We all know of the...

    Atheists in Heaven !?

I'm really not quite understanding what Jonadab is trying to say. Is he saying that only 144,000 believers be they Jew or gentile will end up being saved? Say it ain't so, because I have heard such rubbish spoken here by some before.

To church or not to church

Well, they have a lot of nerve calling the ordinances of God evil, the very thing that Jesus had to fulfill for us to be saved. I'm sure God will have some choice words with them when the time comes.

To church or not to church

If scripture was of no effect, or just dead letters on a piece of paper, then why bother meditating on it?
