    Do animals have souls?

Yes, that is indeed true; however, when speaking of the human being, soul and spirit are used almost interchangeably in both the OT and the NT. That, I assume, is because the human being is a soul with a spirit; and never is there a case where the human being is a soul without a spirit.

    Do animals have souls?

(ASV) Gen 1:20 And God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures (Heb - nephesh), and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens." (ASV) Gen 1:21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature (Heb - nephesh) that moves, with which the...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

If you have reference to Romans 12:3, then I think you have misunderstood what Paul was saying. In the passage, Romans 12:3-8, Paul is speaking about gifts, specifically gifts of grace. The measure that he is speaking of is for the gifts. He is saying that gifts are given in relation to the...

    Do animals have souls?

Strictly speaking, it is not a matter of animals having souls; rather it is that animals are living souls (nephesh in Hebrew) (Gen 1:20). The difference is that God has formed the spirit in man. Thus animals are living souls while human beings are also living souls with a spirits. Thus I am a...

    Absolutely and totally false! ! ! !

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

First of all, God is Spirit. God forms the spirit of man in him (Zech 12:1). We assume that occurs sometime between conception and birth. Man's spirit is the "image" of God in which he was formed (Gen 1:26-27). Thus we have Spirit giving birth to spirit. The question you have to ask is what...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Yes, you have posted John 3:1-15. You tell us that it is talking about being "birthed in the Spirit". That is a concept that is unbiblical, and it certainly doesn't come from that passage of scripture.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

You, of course, go by opinions. The opinions that you go by are your own. You post the word of God, but you know so little about what it even means -- making up phrases like "birthed in the Spirit" that appears nowhere in the scriptures. And more importantly, a concept that is not...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Just your opinion; and not a very good one at that.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Thats just your opinion. And not a very well-founded opinion. In fact you must be about the only person that the Holy Spirit is talking to and leading. So many of your opinions are in complete disagreement when so many others.

    As is everything you post.....remember.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

That is the perfect case of the pot calling the kettle black if there ever was one.

Which denomination do I belong to?

I don't think you are correct in that. In 1 Corinthians 1 Paul laments the divisions that arose there: 1Co 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same...

Responding to your sciolism is becoming tedious and it obviously serves no purpose whatsoever.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Belief and faith are the same words in the Greek. Believing and having faith are the same words in the Greek. There is no distinction between the two. Faith and having faith is an English construct. Stricltly speaking, There is believing someone and there is believing IN someone. Believing...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

It is saying exactly what I said. It is becoming more and more apparent that you do not know what regeneration is. You are seriously confused about what being born again means. That comes, I think, in part because or your phraseology of "birthed in the Spirit". There is no such phrase in...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Col 2:11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, Col 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

That scripture is the same thing Jesus was talking about in John 5:24,25. Being born again, is being saved. It is having one's sins forgiven and being given the indwelling Holy Spirit. One is not born again and then believes. One hears, believes and then is born again.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

By hearing someone preaching from God's word or by reading God's word. There is no other way. Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son...
