    Renouncing My Faith

I don't see any predestination there. I see a freewill choice to be elect or not.

    Renouncing My Faith

It says the branch will be thrown into the fire, but you left out that part.. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. They are burned because they don't remain in him. The one who no longer...

    Renouncing My Faith

James 5: 19-20 19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. I just don't see how this is...

    Renouncing My Faith

Okay, but that doesn't address the scriptures that say otherwise.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

Like I said all those doctrines are unbiblical. And I haven't even gotten into the rituals that the RCC uses. Tradition, tradition.

What should we eat (the original diet)?

Funny how some diabetics do great on a keto diet, then... Yes excessive sugar and carbs are bad for you. But meat isn't the devil. Some people thrive on a full carnivore diet too.

    Renouncing My Faith

I know it's not only a Calvinist doctrine, but it only makes sense in a system where free will is absent.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

Here's a brief list of unbiblical Catholic doctrines: 2105), Infallibility of the Catholic Church, (CCC 2035), Only the Roman Catholic Church has authority to interpret Scripture (CCC 100), The Pope is the head of the church and has the authority of Christ (CCC 2034), The Roman Catholic Church...

    Renouncing My Faith

Then I'm even more perplexed how you can reach the OSAS conclusion. For the Calvinist, it's a logical part of what I call a "closed system", that is, if you believe A., B naturally follows. But, if you don't believe for example, that regeneration precedes faith, and God is doing everything, why...

A Wheel In The Middle Of A Wheel

I'm not being exposed to it, because I can't stop laughing long enough to do more than skim read it. Really, get back to the Bible and quit adding stuff that isn't in the Book.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

I find that a bit ironic when 90 percent of Catholicism is tradition, not scripture.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

Not all Protestants believe all those. And the ones that do will certainly say their interpretation of it came from the Bible.

How do you know your saved??

I would take my humanness into account. Should I doubt him for anything? No. But do I walk in the Spirit a hundred percent of the time? No, there is still the battle with the flesh. Jesus said if you have faith as a mustard seed you can move mountains. I think we all know what we believe deep down.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

That's not in the Bible. There is debate as to the didaches authenticity.

How do you know your saved??

@Renniks, So...when I worry about, say...how I will pay the rent because I was laid off, am I abiding? Because He said don't worry about what you will eat, wear (and by extension, where you will live and sleep). Only if you let your worry lead to disbelief. If you still have faith as small as...

    Renouncing My Faith

I've heard it all before, usually from the Calvinists. Doesn't matter, I still can't read the falling away passages as something else. Just the fact that Jesus says to remain in him mean we can choose not to, to any logical person. "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will...

How do you know your saved??

    Through faith and trust.

    I observe the Sabbath on....

Holiday? You aren't getting what I am saying. Sabbath rest isn't about taking a holiday. It's resting in Christ no matter your circumstances.

    I observe the Sabbath on....

Why would you observe Sabbath only on one day of the week? We can enter Sabbath rest every day. Sabbath rest for us is not a period of time, it's a heart condition.

    Renouncing My Faith

I wonder why there are a multitude of warnings about falling away from the faith, then?
