    Seeing Sanctification

Sorry, @RogerDC, but you are mistaken. "ye must be born again." A man receives the Holy Spirit by faith (Galatians 3:14); and as the result of that impartation by faith alone, he receives the love of God (Romans 5:5). This love is not in word or in tongue only but in deed and in truth (1...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

So, the question is, before He took on flesh, was Jesus a 2nd God apart from the Father? Was He 1/3 of God? Or, was He God?

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

We know Him no more after the flesh (2 Corinthians 5:16). That means that if we know Him, we know Him by the Spirit. Jesus said, the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life. So then, the Holy Spirit speaks to men through the word of the Lord. We are to preach the word...

    The woman caught in adultery.

It is what the Bible says (apparently, you didn't even look up the verses that I referenced).

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

It is certainly not unbiblical. Quote and expound any verses that you can think of that show that faith is not belief. In Ephesians 2:8-9, it becomes clear that salvation is by grace through faith and not of works. If works is a part of faith, then a man being saved by faith would be saved...

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

No...I'm asking you to show forth how those things are included in faith according to those verses....since it is your contention that those verses say that those things are included in faith.

    The Purpose of the Law

In answer to the question...which law?...I reply, that the law in holy scripture is the entirety of moral teachings in all of scripture...for it shows man that he is a sinner in need of the Saviour.

    The Purpose of the Law

See Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Romans 7:6, Galatians 2:19, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, and Hebrews 7:18-19. These passages show that there is no more condemnation coming from the law. Then there is Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, and Romans 8:4; passages that tell us that we...

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Please give chapter and verse. Show how man can respond in righteousness (that isn't filthy rags) apart from faith; in God's word. It is not wrong; and will lead people to Christ. Romans 2 is speaking of Gentiles period. Since Gentiles who had not received Christ cannot do good (Romans...

    The woman caught in adultery.

See, normally when we see a sin on someone else (the size of a speck), it is the size of a beam in our own life. Read Matthew 7:1-5, and Luke 6:41-42, and weep...

    The woman caught in adultery.

I didn't say that you would necessarily leave the Catholic Church...I said you would be saved. How did my pastor misinterpret scripture? I believe that you are making an uninformed comment...much like what I did when I said that Constantine was the first Pope. I won't call you a liar for...

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

Which of these verses say that these things are an aspect of faith? I would venture to say, none of them...
  13. J

@Behold, would you expound the following:

Or, to be declared righteous. In this, it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2). He calls those things which are not as though they are, creating a new reality (Romans 4:17).
  14. J

@Behold, would you expound the following:

"just-as-if-i'ed-never sinned" Maybe even "just-as-if-I-don't sin."

How could the Messiah be sinless?

His flesh had a beginning (Romans 1:3, Isaiah 45:11).

    Commentary on Romans.

Rom 9:30, What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. Rom 9:31, But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Rom 9:32...

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

No, I'm saying that my words are "the foolishness of preaching" and that this is why you deem them to be absurd.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Jesus was begotten in the incarnation (Luke 1:35) and ascended to exist outside of time (Ephesians 4:10). His pre-incarnate form was as the eternal Spirit who inhabiteth eternity (Isaiah 57:15); one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4).

    The Purpose of the Law

@Blood Bought 1953, I would ask you what you make of the following scriptures: Isa 8:16, Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. Isa 8:20, To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
