Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

Hey @101G, Do you remember me? I'm the one who normally emphasizes the Oneness of the Lord in my preaching. Therefore I do not deny that Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one Person; when I say that there are distinctions between the members of the Trinity.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

You're probably right (on that last part); but I am known by God. 1Co 8:1, Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 1Co 8:2, And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to...

    Dead faith.

Maybe you should cut out your tongue so that the rest of you doesn't also go into the lake of fire.

    Spotting the Heretic

Concerning the soul and spirit: Hebrews 4:12.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That's because any true study will lead anyone to the conclusion that He is God.

    Dead faith.

I want you to know that I have the Holy Ghost and that I currently retain your sin (see John 20:22-23). To @BreadOfLife. See 1 Peter 2:9 for a verse that teaches the priesthood of all believers.

The fact that Jesus is God. Read the scripture in question and think on what it means concerning the doctrine of Christ's Deity.

    Dead faith.

Now, if you had done your homework and read your Bible... you would have known what it says in Luke 6:37 and been obedient to it... Luk 6:37, Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: To @BreadOfLife.

    Dead faith.

I would contend that even works within the context of faith are not efficacious...and to say that they are is to teach salvation by works. Works do not save you, even if they are done in faith...and to say otherwise is to teach salvation by works. So thank you for admitting that this is the...

    Dead faith.

Sorry, I didn't do my homework, but believed what I was told...Actually it was not my homework: I was never given an assignment to study all of the intricacies of Catholicism. I've never been interested because of all of the dead religion with all of the rituals. Also, satan is the accuser of...

    Temporal Salvation?

It won't return void but will accomplish the purpose for which the Lord hath sent it (Isaiah 55:10-11).

    Dead faith.

It is by faith alone that we obtain the love of God (Galatians 3:14, Romans 5:5)...and the love of God being shed abroad in the heart is the salvation that is given to us. These are fine and dandy; but in order to prove that Catholicism doesn't teach salvation by works, you would have to show...

@mjrhealth, Have you considered the following? Jhn 4:23, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Jhn 4:24, God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and...

    Temporal Salvation?

And what I am saying is that anyone can think they are saved (because they have a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith) but really they are not...which will be evidenced by the fact that they will fall away when tested (Luke 8:13).

If the Truth appeared to you... would you believe it?

I am saying that if someone is truly born again, they will not fail to endure to the end...because they have been sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 5:5).

    Spotting the Heretic

The prophets are not born again? That's news to me... In context, 1 Corinthians 14:23 is talking about New Testament believers who have the gift of prophecy....these are definitely born again.

    Temporal Salvation?

But they probably thought they were (being connected to the olive tree and all...)

    Finding God's perfect will.

Those who sin are the children of the devil....1 John 3:8. I beg to differ (Jude 1:23). If people in the world are defined as sinners (in the sense that they commit sin) then they are not children of God but children of the devil (1 John 3:8).
