    Spotting the Heretic

1 Jn 2:27 also: 1Jo 2:27, But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

Go and find that verse in holy scripture (Matthew 11:25 and Luke 10:21) and you will see that in it, Jesus calls the Father the Lord of heaven and earth. There is one Lord in holy scripture (Ephesians 4:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6). No one can say that Jesus is the Lord except by the Spirit of truth...

    Temporal Salvation?

My reason for believing in POTS....1 John 3:6 with 1 John 2:17. That word "for ever" is the clincher for me.

    Dead faith.

Nope, he has it right on the money.

    Seeing Sanctification

Romans 4:5. Can you explain more please on how this means that John 5:24 is not valid? What is "pempo" supposed to mean? and how does the difference translate into condemnation for the one who believes on God? Because it seems to me that you have not made a valid case for what you are...

    Temporal Salvation?

I believe in POTS but not in OSAS... POTS has within it that holiness is kept in you as you are kept. OSAS gives people a free license to sin.

    Dead faith.

We can indeed be the catalyst for other people's salvation according to Jude 1:23. That, in itself is a lie. Thus, you have lied on this forum. What lie did you catch me in? I don't think you did. At least, nothing that was intentional. I may have been misinformed on something to where I...

    Temporal Salvation?

If someone has the fear of the LORD in them, they will never walk away. Jer 32:38, And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: Jer 32:39, And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: Jer 32:40, And...

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

The Father is the Spirit that dwells in the body of Jesus Christ (John 4:23-24, John 14:7-11); and He was released back to the Father who inhabiteth eternity in Luke 23:46; to dwell side-by-side with Him outside of time. The Father descended to become a Man (Isaiah 9:6). It was not a 2nd God...

    God was crucified!

I believe in a form of the Trinity that has been decried as Oneness and modalistic because of its emphasis on the Oneness of the Lord. (link to my Trinity thread): True Trinity.

    Seeing Sanctification

However, they have come into condemnation...something that God says will not happen to the born again (in John 5:24 (kjv))
  14. J

    Dead faith.

Their salvation is dependent on it...and if I am saved...if I have the love of the Lord dwelling within my heart...I will do what I can to win them to salvation. Because love desires that the other person's salvation...it is not so focused on self that it only cares about its own.

Eternal Life = Eternal Security = Born again.

Two things about the OP: 1) Righteousness that is given has a practical aspect to it (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6); it is practical in its very nature. 2) There is a faith that does not result in everlasting life (Luke 8:13)...a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith. Faith that is unto...

    Works

Jhn 1:13, Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Rom 9:16, So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. No, it is not that a man can choose salvation; but that a man can respond to the...

    Spotting the Heretic

We are indeed saved by grace through faith; and we also have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand. No more faith = no more access = no more salvation. If we take your theology to its proper conclusion, a man doesn't even need faith to be saved (not even initially) because if he...

    Spotting the Heretic

No; when the apostle John says "we" in 1 John 1:8, he is also referring to himself. I have in fact been trained with that exact training that you are talking about; and what I know is that the reason for this is that we are not to disassociate ourselves from the crowd to whom we are relating...

    Spotting the Heretic

Your abiding is God doing something for you...as you continue to receive it by faith.

    Works

The works of an un-believing man or woman has the value equivalent to a filthy menstrual rag (Isaiah 64:6). Obviously, we cannot "will" ourselves to be born again (John 1:13, Romans 9:16). So if to choose salvation has anything to do with our will, it cannot save. Now we can respond to the...
