    Works

Even the gold, silver, and precious gems are not = salvation. They are = rewards that we receive for things done after we are saved. Salvation happens when the foundation of Jesus Christ is firmly laid.

If the Truth appeared to you... would you believe it?

Most definitely, the one who has a heart faith unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to the end (Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14) has eternal security...no doubt about it. The nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith does not provide the same security...see Luke 8:13. As for me, I...

    Dead faith.

Okay. I think that I have perhaps been misinformed on two of those points. But to call me a liar is taking it too far. I do know that Martin Luther's contention with the Catholic Church was that of salvation by grace through faith alone apart from works. And the Catholics of his day opposed...

    Temporal Salvation?

I think that I agree with you to a certain extent. But I would say that the one who is truly born again is sealed by the Holy Spirit and is motivated by Him to walk in holy behaviour. If someone ceases to walk in holy behaviour, it is a sign that they were never a sheep but were instead a dog...

    Spotting the Heretic

On the contrary, see 1 Corinthians 14:32. We are born again and continue to be born again through faith in Jesus Christ. I think that I agree with you there. There too. I believe that grace is the enabling power of God. Those who teach grace falsely teach it as license...they teach that...

Eternal Life = Eternal Security = Born again.

We have pointed out that there are those who do not have a genuine faith who think that they are in fact saved; and that OSAS doctrine can be detrimental to them. If you are truly born of God (1 John 3:9) and abiding in Him (1 John 3:6) for ever (1 John 2:17), then you have eternal security...

Eternal Life = Eternal Security = Born again.

There is an offence in the Cross (Galatians 5:11) and God often uses this offence to get His work of salvation done. It will indeed get them saved. Because they know that even the good that they do is tainted by sin. So their good works *are* filthy rags. No; because the word of the Lord...

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

There are always many verses that do not support your theology on any issue; for there are a very great multitude of verses in the Bible; and not all of them are going to speak about the issue that you are attempting to prove your point on. And the verses that do speak on the same subject are...

    Spotting the Heretic

Those who are born of God "do not" and "cannot" sin (1 John 3:9) and also those who abide in Christ "sin not" (1 John 3:6) for ever (1 John 2:17). Now we all have indwelling sin (1 John 1:8); but for the sanctified believer it is rendered dead so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour...

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus did not baptize in water; but His disciples did...which does not diminish the importance of baptism: because it was still accomplished on behalf of new disciples.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:5 as it is compared to Acts 2:38-39 indicates water baptism is the subject of John 3:5. There are other verses that also teach the salvation value in baptism.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

There will be no scriptures that say the opposite of any singular verse of scripture...there may be contrasting verses that you must reconcile to the verse in question...but never anything that is truly contradictory.

    Temporal Salvation?

Actually, the term given is everlasting life...and if you have it in the present tense, if it can come to an end it wasn't everlasting in the first place. Of course, life is defined as a holy walk to a certain extent... So if someone is not living holy, it is questionable as to whether they...

    Dead faith.

Hopefully this type of post will irk you into receiving Christ unto the new birth.

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

I can. The Father is a Spirit who inhabiteth eternity (Isaiah 57:15). The Son dwells in human flesh (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7). The Holy Ghost is a Spirit who also inhabits eternity (Ephesians 4:4, John 7:39); but He has experiential knowledge of what it means to be human (Luke 23:46) and is...

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

There is one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4), the Father (John 4:23-24), the Son (Colossians 1:27, 1 John 5:12), and the Holy Ghost (John 7:39, 2 Timothy 1:14). There is one Lord (Ephesians 4:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6); the Father (Matthew 11:26, Luke 10:21), the Son (1 Corinthians 12:3, 1 Corinthians 8:6)...

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

I do know and believe that there is a distinction between the Father and the Holy Ghost; for the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father (John 15:26). They are still the same Spirit according to Ephesians 4:4 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-6. I do not preach modalism but my view of the Trinity is often...

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

You are assuming that a 2nd God therefore became flesh, or else 1/3 of God. I will leave you to read the book of Isaiah wherein you will find that such an idea is implausible. Yes, the Father is a Spirit (John 4:23-24) and the Holy Ghost is also the Spirit (John 7:39). What you failed to...

Irrefutable proof that Jesus is God.

Actually, Jesus was begotten in the incarnation (Luke 1:35) and then ascended to exist outside of time (Ephesians 4:10). So, in His humanity He was indeed created (Romans 1:3, Isaiah 45:11); and yet is still the eternal God who inhabits eternity.

    Dead faith.

right here... You're lying right now. If you even lie once in the past, present, or future, you're lying right now. You seem confident that you will never lie. Well, I was confident that I would never lie also....but apparently you caught me in one (or did you?). So, you will inevitably...
