Was Adam Imparted Free Will From The Beginning Of Creation?

post #53... I don't think I have added to it at all. I have interpreted it. For it should be clear that salvation is not by works; but that it is by grace through faith. With that in mind I'm not sure how you could come up with a different interpretation than what I've provided. re: post...

    A scripture for today.

1Co 4:12, And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 1Co 4:13, Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. 1Co 4:14, I write not these things to shame you, but as my...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

I would simply remind you of what it says in 2 Timothy 3:16. For the Bible does, in fact, testify of Jesus and is useful, indeed profitable, to teach, to reprove, to correct, and to instruct in righteousness. It would be a sin to forsake it completely. It also gives the whole counsel of God...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

I just know that with my own mental illness, there have been times when I have known that it was the Lord that was speaking to me; but that there were so many other times when demons came and pretended to be the Lord's voice in an attempt to gain my confidence. So what I am saying is, be...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

The body of Christ; consisting of all those who should not perish but have everlasting life according to John 3:16.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

On more than one level. 1) there is no trangression because sin is not imputed where there is no law (Romans 5:13); and, 2) Because sin cannot take advantage of the law where there is no law, to produce in you all manner of concupiscence; and since the motions of sins, which bring forth fruit...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

Romans 3:10-18 is qualified by Romans 3:9 and Romans 3:19. First, there is Romans 3:9 as it is to be compared to 1 Corinthians 10:32. There are three groups of people in scripture: the Jews, the Gentiles, and the church of God. Jew and Gentile alike are all under sin; but not the church...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

We "cannot" do the things that we "would". (Galatians 5:17)

The Scriptures are God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

He has magnified His word above all His name.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

As I have said elsewhere, that means that Jesus has relegated sin to the flesh; so that we do not sin except we are walking according to the flesh.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

If we walk in the light then we are not ignorant of what the light would reveal to us...that there is sin dwelling in our mortal flesh. Having no darkness in us does not preclude that we have no sin...but it speaks of the fact that the light is shining upon our sin so that it can be dealt with...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

I understand that. But the answer is not to completely eradicate 1 John 1:8 from your library of scripture knowledge. You would be guilty of the sin spoken of in Revelation 22:19. The answer is to show them that they have no excuse to live a life of sinning, even with the presence of 1 John...

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

Consider Matthew 8:1-4. Jesus told the leper, after he was cleansed, to tell no one that he had been cleansed; but to go and show himself to the priests as a testimony unto them. I believe that this, and 1 John 1:8, tell us that our greatest witness will not to be to tout to other people how...

The Scriptures are God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

Psa 138:2, I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. It will come down to the argument for some that we are using circular reasoning. Whatever side you take will indicate whether you...

    Sufficency of Scripture

Rom 13:12, The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
  16. J

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

It actually means that sin is relegated to the flesh so that the only time we sin is when walking in the flesh...that is what the context also bears out.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

More like dead; which is what I have been teaching all along. Because people can reject your doctrine too easily by saying it is in contradiction to 1 John 1:8. The doctrine that I preach is a doctrine of holiness that takes 1 John 1:8 and verses like it into account.

God's Grace keeps on giving the Blood

The law applies to Gentiles as well as Jews. It was given so that all the world might be found guilty before God (Romans 3:19). It shows Jew and Gentile alike that we are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20). In Galatians 3:23, it says that "we were kept under the law". This "we"...
