    Law Rules—Grace Lives

Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4, Romans 3:20) I believe that you are ignoring the scriptures that I have presented. To present the scriptures as proclaiming the truth does not warrant not receiving them as truth. It is not that we ought to be afraid to approach Him; but that...

    Law Rules—Grace Lives

Yes; and sin is defined as the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4).

    Gentiles? Not Anymore!

I have answered this in the other thread. link: The "Israel of God": Who are they?

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

They were Abraham's offspring but not his children (since they were not of faith, see Galatians 3:7).

    Gentiles? Not Anymore!

I assume that you are referring to what it says in John 8. There, Jesus does not call the scribes and Pharisees "children of the devil" because they claimed to be descended from Abraham; but because they sought to kill Him, a Man who was telling them the truth that He had heard from the Father.

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

What evil have I spoken about you? I suggest that you take the scriptures that I have given to you at face value; and if you believe that the context of these scriptures nullifies their actual meaning, then please point out how it does so. Otherwise you ought to believe their testimony.

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

John 8, I think is what you are referring to. There, Jesus calls the scribes and Pharisees children of the devil, not because they claim to be sons of Abraham, but because they are going about to kill Him, a Man who told them what He heard from God.

    True Trinity.

Is not the Father of Jesus YHWH? In Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21, the Father of Jesus is said to be the Lord of heaven and earth. Therefore translating YHWH as "Lord" is not an inaccurate substitution. Nevertheless the scripture substantiates the fact that the Father, YHWH, is the Lord of...

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

re: post #470... Please put your posts in a format where I can utilize the quote button to put your information on the table. I didn't see anything in your post that threatens my theology; or else I would have copied and pasted the dangerous portion and responded to it. But since it is not...

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Isaiah 9:6. I will say that I am not interested in your changing of scripture and alternate interpretations. I want you simply to take it at face value. See also the following logic: There is one Lord in holy scripture (Ephesians 4:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6). And that Lord is the Father (Matthew...

    True Trinity.

On the contrary, in John 14:7-11 He told Philip, Hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father...going on to mention that He is in the Father and the Father in Him. Therefore the very Spirit of Jesus is the Father, since the Father is also a Spirit according to John...

    True Trinity.

If you are claiming that God is your Father, then you are claiming to be equal with Him (see John 5:18; Ephesians 3:19, 1 Corinthians 6:17; also Philippians 2:5-6 (kjv)).

    True Trinity.

God the Father rules and reigns throughout the Universe and will do so in His experience until He has ruled over everything that needs ruling over so that the proper outcome might be fulfilled. He is an eternal Spirit and lived one eternal moment (or will, depending on your perspective) and...

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

You are not dealing with your normal Trinitarians here...I myself am a Oneness Trinitarian. I am a Trinitarian in history who refers to the Son as the Father....what are you talking about?
  17. J

    True Trinity.

I believe so. Are you trying to say that He isn't?

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

What your itching ears want to hear...2 Timothy 4:3-4.

    True Trinity.

No, because the Spirit who dwells in Jesus Christ is the same Spirit that inhabiteth eternity. He is merely in a different location. One is in time, the other in eternity. Same Spirit. In two places at once. As such, the Spirit who is in one place can address that same Spirit who is in...

    True Trinity.

See Hebrews 1:8-9. God has a God, according to that scripture passage. And the Holy Spirit will testify that Jesus is the Lord (God) even in light of the verse that you have given.
