Believers need to understand the Truth

Righteousness is indeed a free gift: Rom 5:15, But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Rom 5:16, And not as it was by one that...

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

All I'm saying is, he doesn't know off-hand what flavour to tempt us with. He has to study us to find that answer.

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

OSAS really isn't that far off from the truth...but the true reality is POTS. The only problem with OSAS is that it teaches that you can be saved and continue to be saved even in your sins. POTS teaches that the Lord will preserve you in holiness.

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Going back to the subject of the OP, I came across the following verses just today: Psa 34:21, Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. Psa 34:22, The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Die Now, In Order To Live Later

I think that the point that I would make to that is that the Bible at almost every level requires faith of the ones who would adhere to its teachings; and therefore when it makes the claim to be inspired (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16-17), the response is not one of looking at all of the facts (although...

Loving Jesus enough to obey Him ensures salvation

When we were conceived in sin, and brought forth into iniquity, it means just that: that we were born sinners. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of the Lord, Romans 3:23. Babies are the exception to "all"? I don't think so.

Die Now, In Order To Live Later

If anyone has any doubt about whether they have received the Holy Spirit, it will remove all doubt when they are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. A heavenly, absolute promise is attached to that action, that God shall give you the Holy Ghost. Ask, seek, knock...

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Just saying, don't discount the idea that the Lord could bring a revival in our days.

    Please explain this.

You mean Jesus? I beg to differ: 1Jo 2:27, But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him...

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Which is good for us... But I am thinking of all of the lost people out there.

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

That is a rather pessimistic pov. I would say that rather, as the orange sign says, PRAYER CHANGES THINGS.

    Please explain this.

In the second statement, I am using a literary tactic in which I personalize a certain situation even though it may not apply to me. Paul the apostle did something similar when he said in Romans 7:14, I am carnal, sold under sin... and then proceeded to define what it means to be carnal. I...

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

    We desperately need revival. Pray.

    Please explain this.

How do you figure? Once a man begins to truly abide...he cannot cease to abide.

    Please explain this.

I'm aware of the verse...and am also aware of the fact that there are those who hold that those who believe that it is inspired are on the lunatic fringe. But I have shown how believing that verse does not put anyone on the lunatic fringe per se. Now if they are handling poisonous serpents...

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Not really too important to the OP. Luke P is simply a man who was contending for the heart of a woman on the series who was hated by all of the other contenders and who was basically slandered by them and attacked by them left and right...the show made a statement about him that he was someone...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

Amen; for it is written, 1Co 8:1, Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 1Co 8:2, And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 1Co 8:3, But if any man love God, the...

Believers need to understand the Truth

From my understanding of his statements he does not believe the gospel. And that is all I'm going to say about it. He simply comes across to me as an unbeliever who is attempting to dissuade other people from believing in Jesus also.

    Please explain this.

Jas 3:7, For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: I have an aversion to serpents...but if I were living in a third-world country and one was threatening the village, I would not be on the lunatic fringe to...

    Please explain this.

The fear of the LORD, that is wisdom...Job 28:28. I know that my Father loves me even when I am not good. He loves everyone... which does not mean that everyone is saved or that no one is going to hell.
