    On How to be saved

I quoted these verses in response to the following statement: In order to say that yes we do decide what is right and wrong...that is what judgment basically is.

    On How to be saved

Indeed...if someone knows what the scripture says and does not believe it, or turns a blind eye to scriptures (that have been referenced in order to correct an incorrect view on something), that person may very well still believe that they are right...however they cannot honestly call themselves...

    On How to be saved

Did those changes happen because you returned to God or as the result of you being away from Him?

    On How to be saved

See Isaiah 56:1-2 (kjv), Philippians 1:9 (kjv), John 7:24.

    Eternal Security

It very likely is our decision as to whether we walk through the door or not. So then, what is your take on John 15:16?

    On How to be saved

If you consider that those who hold the word of God to be the final authority to be the "hard-headed ones", then this is where I see you to be coming from. If someone is "hard-headed" about a doctrine that is not backed up by the word of the Lord, then they are in the wrong. They are holding...

    That is an excellent point.

    Jesus!

The fact that Mary the mother of Jesus was the mother of Joses and Joseph, and that there is a Mary mentioned who is the mother of Joseph and Joses who is not said to be the mother of Jesus, may be the Holy Spirit's hint that He doesn't want us focusing on Mary being the mother of Jesus, in that...

    No disagreement there.

    On How to be saved

Amen. I believe that we are actually in agreement! In addition to what you have said, baptism is often a confession of Jesus Christ before men when it does happen (see Matthew 10:32, Luke 12:8); and as such I do not see how it can ever be done apart from faith in Him.

    On How to be saved

The Bible is God's love letter to us; in it God tells us more and more every day who He is and how much He loves us. He has magnified His word above all His name (Psalms 138:2). If we reject any portion of His word, we are rejecting Him, and are in grave spiritual danger (Revelation 22:19).

    Eternal Security

Jesus did do that for everyone! (What I mean is, He became the door by which we can enter). Of course, when it comes to going through the door, Jesus does not do that for anyone; that is something that we must do. For some, He may take us by the hand and pull us through (if we ask Him to)...

    On How to be saved

Usually when the argument is won, it is because the Holy Spirit gave the victory to the one who was arguing for His pov. See Luke 21:15, Acts of the Apostles 6:10. (For He is the Spirit of truth; which also is not unknowable). So then, all who are privy to the conversation can know who is...

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

Romans 4:1-8, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 11:5-6, Titus 3:4-7. Salvation is through faith alone. I cannot bring about the transformation of heart that is salvation by giving $5 to a poor man; and if I give $1,000,000 it is no different. The only thing that can bring about this transformation is...

    On How to be saved

It was simply His timing. In the meanwhile, the Holy Ghost wasn't absent from the lives of the Jews and even Samaritans.

    Jesus!

You missed the part where Daniel Webster opened up the door for the opportunity for Scratch to come and do with him what he had done with Jacob Stone. That is the ironic twist at the end.

    On How to be saved

I beg to differ. The promise of the Holy Ghost was available right at the time of Peter's declaration in Acts of the Apostles 2:38. Acts of the Apostles 2:39 says it is a promise. Now in the word of the Lord there are unconditional promises and there are conditional ones. For example...

    Commentary on Romans.

See 1 Corinthians 15:34, Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. compare to 1 John 3:4, Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

I'm not sure what you're talking about...seven years after what? What are you referring to? What Gentile outpouring?
