The good man that turned bad out of necessity

No. I think I need it, but don't want it.
  2. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Needing and wanting are two different things. One can want the church without needing it.
  3. Riven

    Is this a legitimate feeling?

It depends. If you're that guy that walks around asking random people if they lift, then you should probably understand that most people find that annoying. :unamused:
  4. Riven

I have a question ? Is not God, King of the Universe ?

That's not true. Everybody knows that @Riven is the king of the universe. :dusted:
  5. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I think that makes sense. One doesn't need the church to believe in God.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I was in the youth group around 20 years ago. This was during the time of the new atheists movement. Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris, etc. The youth pastor I had at the time set up a debate between me and some random person. Which I imagine was somewhat unusual, but maybe her was struggling himself...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Well that's not the normal McDonald's drive thru experience. How did the topic of carpentry come up, I wonder? :IDK:
  8. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Case in point. Do you think you're forming a relationship with someone at McDonald's when you order a Big Mac? :funlaugh2

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Generally speaking, I find them to be rather uneducated. They believe in nonsense and they can't even explain why they believe what they believe. Why do you think they shout so much during the sermon? It's all an act, and not even a good one

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I wasn't aware we had a relationship. I'm curious, what has changed it in your mind? As you wish.
  11. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Okay... retired pastor. Up until recently you were very willing to answer my questions. But if that is no longer the case, then so be it.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

By your own admission, you're an ex-pastor. That should put is on even footing.
  13. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Then the question will go unanswered because I do not trust or respect pastors.
  14. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

My behavior? What are you talking about?
  15. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

You should have said that in the beginning. Why do you question my motives? Isn't curiosity enough?
  16. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

That's a cowardly way to dodge a question.
  17. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

What good things do bad men achieve?
  18. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Oh, okay. So we're good then. :phew:
  19. Riven

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Don't say that too loud. @Matthias might hear you. :funlaugh2
