Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I'm sorry if you experience my post as condemnation. It wasn't meant to be.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Can't believe someone would pit the death of Christ against His resurrection. And call His death nothing but an "improvement" on the old sacrificial system...?.. The new covenant is ratified by His blood. But I consider this to be just another manufactured argument for the purpose of...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Sorry Epi.......but see here the passage below? This is the way of the cross...wilderness, sufferings/tribulations. It is through much tribulation that we enter the kingdom of God. I've been so struck recently noticing how much the bible speaks on this, the theme of suffering. I mean I've read...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

It is righteousness UNTO holiness.....and I don't consider that either is climbed into by human means. We have been given a clear and simple picture of having to go through the wilderness and die to our old man before entering the Promised Land so to speak, not the other way around. Trying to...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I dont' want to drag you back into this thread again brother, I'm done here myself. Just wanted to get one last thing off my chest.....another way in which the cart is being put in front of the horse is when people are trying to attain to the pinnacle of holiness before they have even acquired...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

It is consistent with all scripture Epi. That's how we test it. You are bringing a false gospel I'm afraid.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Seeking to establish our own righteousness is common/unclean. The righteousness of God is clean.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Self interest is what motivates some to enter the holy of holies without the proper garments on and then get turfed out. It is what Buddhists, Hindus and New Age does....pride, ambition, covetousness, etc. God would not lead (and therefore be with them, clothing them) someone to enter before...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

You appear to be blind to the point I made.

No that is not my scheme and I do not try to justify sin.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

It is righteousness UNTO holiness sister, so not sharply divided.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Honesty before God, but all one needs is the carnal mind to hear you, not honesty. We can miss the mark by one of two ways, either we fall short of it, or we go beyond it. You can dig so deep that you wind up in another country, another kingdom altogether. The kind of knowledge and...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I call it one of the most beautiful verses in the bible. And some folks here want to pick it to pieces til it is unrecognizable. Nobody need be offended that the sinless Christ was made sin for us or that we unworthies might become the righteousness of God in Him. It is not literal, it is a...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Right. Sowing to the flesh will reap corruption - death, grave, darkness (it's very dark in graves/tombs)............not a lower level of salvation. Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Can't tell you how many times I have thought the same of Episkopos. Even wondered if he was an AI bot a few times, learning as it goes and picking up the lingo of whoever it is talking to. Weird feeling of a parallel universe. Epi knows darn well what I think about the subject of holiness, we...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Well here are a few verses: Rom 8:24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), Eph 2:8 For by grace you...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

By the unbelieving I was referring to those who have never known Christ. The unbelieving Israelites......speaks to the Israelites under the Law...........who wouldn't enter into the new covenant by faith. But you need to calm down otherwise you will miss or misunderstand what is being said.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

He wasn't applying it to the parable of the talents was he, but saying it is only speaking on the level of "holiness".

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I have always agreed in principle with many things Episkopos says about holiness. As I've reiterated quite a few times in these discussions. (Though I question whether he is in spirit with it.) It's the other things he believes and teaches that are very problematic which I argue with.

Yes he had been saved. But he lost it.........because he failed to grow it......another way of saying he produced no fruit and was cut down.
