    Are You Dead to Self?

Unlearned and spiritually inexperienced people twist Paul's words. Peter warns us about this. Paul is speaking about justification by faith....which is a basic righteousness...OUR righteousness. The righteousness of God is by entering INTO Christ to walk as Jesus walked in His life and power. As...

    Are You Dead to Self?

This is a major deviation from the biblical narrative. The bible makes a distinction between being corporately in Him and individually in Him. As in...not all are Israel who are in Israel. Jesus is able to spit out of His mouth the ones who retain iniquity...by believing things about themselves...

    Are You Dead to Self?

And this doesn't mean that a person who looks back will be damned or barred from the kingdom walk in the future. It means the person isn't yet ready. I speak from personal experience.

    Are You Dead to Self?

While this is true...one can begin in the Spirit and not continue by the Spirit. Read about the Galatians and Paul's warning to them. Once we have taken a first step by the Spirit...we need to move on and be careful of the subsequent steps without always looking back to the beginning. Many will...

    Are You Dead to Self?

God will only impute what He sees...not by imagination...but in truth. Abraham was righteous in His eyes. God imputes righteousness by either works or faith. He SEES fit to do such things. He can impute either righteousness or iniquity...or whatever else He sees. My position is one that is both...

Is the "free gift" of salvation really free? - Honestly?

The sample of grace is free. To have the full measure of the product (grace) we need to sell all and buy it as per Jesus. Any other consideration is a false gospel.

    Are You Dead to Self?

No. God is merciful. Read the the bible. Being born again is a SAMPLE of grace freely given that we get to taste the Lord's goodness..otherwise we could never surrender to Him and sell all we have to buy the full measure of grace that overcomes all sin. No. Jesus was RAISED for out...

    Are You Dead to Self?

Why can't salvation be both for the inner man AND the outer man? Making the narrow way the broadway again?
  11. Episkopos

    Are You Dead to Self?

It's not about forgiveness. That is a shallow and misguided delusion...the Great Delusion. The cross is about death...the death of the outer man of sin...and freedom...FREEDOM from sin. In Him is no sin. The cross is about ATONEMENT...cleansing from all sin...to be as holy as God is holy. And...

    Are You Dead to Self?

Are we to follow Christ after we die? Are we to seek the kingdom of God after we die? I think most people have not thought this through...instead going with the modern flow....following other sheep rather than Christ Himself. How many think Christianity is about an after-life? A Valhalla...

    Are You Dead to Self?

Yes, yes... God is good....and the devil is bad. I find some here have such an infantile approach....based on a humanistic religion of self-preservation...so much so, that the bible is fully misunderstood...as if we have to dumb down that much to believe in God. Your whole approach is...

Where did the Bible come from? - Shot out of a canon

Shot out of a cannon? More like shot into a Canon. ;)

No Condemnation For Those In Christ (Romans 8:1)

Agreed. Those who are IN Christ personally don't sin. In Him is no sin. There is a difference between being corporately in Christ (in His mouth but not yet swallowed) and abiding in Him personally. We remain in Christ conditionally...through obedience to God's will.

    Are You Dead to Self?

More humour...or just extremely shallow understanding? Hard to tell. If it's humour...it is funny. :)

    Are You Dead to Self?

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, Ps. 1:1

Then you have your next move before you. You can start by going back on all the slander, lies and hypocrisies you and others have levied against me....and go back and list them all and bring your heartfelt remorse at being that way before God.

What Is "Salvation" In 1 Corinthians 10?

I think Paul is talking about such things as meat sacrificed to idols. We could say in our time...secular songs. Sin is in the heart. A person can eat what is sacrificed to idols without any sin. Likewise a Christian can enjoy a song.... by say...Elton John (a gay man) without sin. If the eye...

    Are You Dead to Self?

Take the mask off. Your holier than thou attitude derails this thread...a thread about the need to be rid of the flesh nature. And see how the flesh reacts here. Anything to take away from the dire need to depart from iniquity. You are here to derail, obfuscate....and defend the flesh. What I...
