Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Kings of the earth is alluding at least in part to religious leaders (Jewish or Christian) who are ruling over their own little kingdoms in the form of churches/synagogues/ministries. Many living like kings too. Priests who rule by their own means and the people love to have it so. (When we...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Yes, though I do understand really because I never saw it either until a few years ago....but having seen it, by God's grace, I can't unsee what is now as plain as the nose on my face. However, there is nothing new under the sun and I believe, as Solomon wrote, what has been will be again.

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I'm trying to trust Jesus at His every word, but understanding and parsing His every word is another matter, much less that remembering His every word all at the same time is very difficult for me. As I've tried to convey, I believe some things still wait to be fulfilled, but a lot of what was...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I don't think we should assume Satan's little season suddenly happens overnight......it takes time to deceive and gather the deceived. It sure looks to me that he is on the move in a big way these days: (Guardian spirit of the UN COP30 climate summit)

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Yes their hearts were failing them for fear I'm sure....those were terrible times. Do you think the sun and moon turning black and stars falling from heaven had to be literal? Stars falling from heaven referring to those who were falling away....sun and moon turning black, meant the church and...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

I believe it meant the new wine could only be poured into the new creation that we become when we are born again. We are the new wineskins. Old covenant Israel could not contain the new wine. They needed to be made new.

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

It depends on what exactly He was applying his words to in v. 32. Because v. 24 was all fulfilled in 70 AD before that generation passed away....they did fall by the sword and were led away captive and Jerusalem was destroyed and began to be trodden of the Gentiles from that time onward.

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

Yes, I agree, brother, I do believe God's word and I'm not trying to raise again the wall of separation that was torn down - we Gentiles are grafted into the Israel of God. But nevertheless the old covenant and things to do with it had not been given to the Gentiles. God was speaking and...

Let's examine Revelation 20:4 yet again.

One thing I'm certain of is that we need to look at this with fresh eyes with the help of the Lord. It can be very hard to get thoughts/strongholds out of our head once they have been planted and embedded. As for me, I'm considering this trail of clues: first of all remembering that these...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

If we agree, I don't know what we are arguing about then. :) I might be misunderstanding some of your posts. But I suspect both "sides" of this debate still has some ironing out to do. I suspect that more was fulfilled in the first century than we have yet cottoned on to. God is not limited...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Yes I agree, but I believe it may also be speaking to/depicting/alluding to other things which is the reason it was written down. I'm sure it wasn't written for purpose of giving us a bio of Adam's life for the sake of curiosity or mere historical "information". Yes, I'm just wondering because...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Yes, I was wondering about the thousand years as pertaining to a person's lifetime (Psalm 90). Adam fell short, due to sin. And even that might just be showing he fell short of eternity, of living forever. But brother, nobody can live to a thousand years literally nowadays in any case. God...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Except for your last sentence, amen. ;) And where it says a thousand years is as a day to the Lord, and vice versa, is telling us it is not literal. "Thousand" in so many instances means "a great many" or maybe we could sometimes even take it to mean "all"...or really both are true. He owns...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

That reminds me of where Jesus said there would be "wars until the end." I try to keep in mind that ultimately it is the LORD who raises and lowers kings and kingdoms. Geopolitical affairs really are HIS business, not ours. Though of course we may pray concerning suffering and injustices...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Just a thought, but I wonder how the Greeks of the first century who didn't believe in the Living God used that word "zoe", as opposed to "zao".....? Could they have sometimes used those words interchangeably? It might be useful to know how they were understood and used generally back then...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Perhaps Zech 14 was partially fulfilled, because living waters did flow out from Jerusalem.....in the early believers who escaped the siege of Jerusalem and flowed out from there to other parts of the world with the gospel. "out of your belly will flow living waters". Interestingly I think I...

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Amen brother....I did talk about the RCC in post 209, but I should be linking the apostate protestant realm with the RCC more.....her "daughters".

Ammillennialism's illegitimate redefining and switching around of the meaning of Greek words and biblical concepts

Brother, it is hard for some of us to remember every word, because there are so many of them and also some of us are getting old too, lol. "saying that the resurrection is already past"......Christ was our forerunner, true?....the tip of the spear who surely was resurrected in the past, and OT...
