    The Doctrines of Grace

There is no scripture that says that Mary was without sin, it is merely human reasoning, not of the Spirit. What Catholics do not understand is about the "Seed" of the Father. Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as...

    The Doctrines of Grace

Do you remember what Jesus told John the Baptist when He came to be baptized by John?

    The Doctrines of Grace

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7 What does unclean mean?

    The Doctrines of Grace

Aren't we sinless when we are born again of the Spirit? What does it mean to be "conformed to the image of His Son" Romans 8:29. You also best study 1 John 3:9 to correct your theology. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has...

    The Doctrines of Grace

I never said that. I never used the word sinless, but sanctified. There were nursing infants in the Old Testament that God commanded to also be thrust through with a sword along with their mothers. Why if they were sinless? Again, I never said that. What do you call how Mary became pregnant...

    The Doctrines of Grace

I agree. That man was Adam.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Romans 3: 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. A child needs to be old enough to be taught. Once taught, they have knowledge and we all have free will. Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory...

    The Doctrines of Grace

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

    The Doctrines of Grace

This is only until the child reaches an age where they can go against their conscience and commit a willful sin unto death.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Because one of their parents are sanctified. But the Christian parent doesn't sanctify the unbelieving spouse.

    The Doctrines of Grace

It only applies to children according to Paul. It has nothing to do with human genetics. Otherwise, all of the children of Israel would be saved.

    The Doctrines of Grace

My parents were Christians, so no. But it wasn't that I was sinning sins unto death, but sins not unto death that my parents beliefs sanctified. Read my post above to Dan.

    The Doctrines of Grace

Some are. Why? 1 Corinthians 7 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. Deuteronomy 3:6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon...

    The Doctrines of Grace

I've heard what I would call heresy that even after we are born again of the Spirit we are still sinners. That false belief is from the "T" in TULIP. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

    The Doctrines of Grace

No one is born without sin except Jesus. Why? When we are born again of the Spirit are we still sinners or like Jesus?

    The Doctrines of Grace

I'm neither Calvinist nor Arminian, so how would I have a definition of total depravity when it doesn't exist, except in Satan and his demons. The Father has given all humans a measure of faith.
  19. 1stCenturyLady

    The Doctrines of Grace

It's the "T" in Tulip. If you are Calvinist then maybe you remember what they define total depravity and for whom, those inside or outside the faith or both.

    The Doctrines of Grace

These are all before Pentecost and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Do you believe Christians are totally depraved?
