The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Why? Why is one form of Christianity more important than another? Provided, of course, that it IS Christianity.

Oh. OK. I like Riven and have for many years now. Can I help and join in the endeavor to help Riven find his way around Christianity? Is that even important?

Waiting on @Riven 's reply. Isn't all Chrsitianity useful in any era? (I missed so much in this thread)

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Oh my. I do believe you mean the Trinity.... one of the core beliefs.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Gee. No clue what that means. You assume I know everything. It's a great compliment... but of no help in conversation.

The Christianity of the Apostles IS the Christianity of the CC. Intill it wandered off...never to be seen again. MAYBE until now. Except for some stuff.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

What definition is that? Where's the popcorn?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Well then,,, you believe the core Christian teachings. That makes you a Christian. I am also a "primitive Christian." So you also trust the Apostolic Fathers? What would you say a primitive Christian is? (I have a feeling we define it differently)

Any person that believes the core Christian tenets is a Christian. Ditto for a denomination. Here they are: (I had a thread on this about a year ago) THE TRINITY THE DIVINITY OF JESUS THE RESURRECTION SALVATION BY GRACE+FAITH AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE BAPTISM JUDGEMENT If a denomination teaches...

How many former Catholics are here?

it was nice to read the above. I figured out a long time ago that, with Jesus, we have no choice. He does not leave us the luxury of trying to pin hole him as a good person, or a great prophet. he's not a philosopher or some kind of god. Jesus is either who He said He is and who He showed...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

You and Matthias are having a good conversation and I don't want to intrude... but want to say the following. It is our job, as Christians to do for others -- make them happy? We'd have to discuss what that means, but not here. Probably that you changed yourself in some way for their sake. My...

    Birth of Jesus Christ

Nice signature line. And you're right...there's no such thing as nothing...and, we don't even undestand what it could be. Is it white space? That's two somethings....

    Birth of Jesus Christ

We depend on scritpture. But the other member is correct... the information did come from somewhere. Luke 1:1-4 1Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us. 2They used the eyewitness reports circulating among us from the early disciples.a...

    Birth of Jesus Christ

Very nice thread. Actually read through it all. Although we should not assume anything and accept only what has been revealed to us in the NT....it is very possible that Mary spoke about her life with Jesus and that some information was gleened from her. Surely Jesus did not remember everything...

LOL This is Bible Study. Not English Grammar ! Be nice.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I don't need to read the article. I've been studying luther for a few years now. His guilt made a mess of the Christian Religion. What the CC was doing wrong should have stopped.. and he was right about that. He over-compensated. His emotional well-being superseded the theology. He was WRONG...

Thousands of African migrants storm into Spain from Morocco

What could she do? No country in Europe is what is used to be. Denmark seems to be fighting back. Hungary has a President that truly held back the tide. The left is predominent over here...she's not like the President of the US. It's a coalision but she is very strong because people here are...

He was a Catholic monk. He should have known the cure. The cure is to obey God. It is NOT faith alone...which is what those that like to make their guilt go away like to believe. Your turn.

Just to remind you that I am protestant... But I really dislike the CC being accused of what it is not responsible for. I also protect Protestantism with my Catholic friends (they're all catholic). Not true...I have one JW friend. When I say friend...I mean friend (not acquaintance). They...
