The short answer is - they weren't written by prophets, so we shouldn't expect them to be inspired. A longer answer would include an analysis of each book, showing how they disagree with the Prophets. The Prophets are very consistent with each other.

Those are rules for sojourners, which is a different thing from converts. Also, I don't think law-keeping is the right criteria to use. Jewish converts go through an adoption ceremony... they're adopted as children of Abraham, which is BEFORE there was a law (per Paul).
