Medical marijuana...it's becoming accepted by old and young?

@lightlysalted I know you prefer just to stick to your menthols, Ziggy. Do you welcome at all the fact that states have legalized marijuana so that it's available medicinally?

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@lightlysalted No comment required, Ziggy! :) but did you see the recent poll, above?

Many claim to be Christians, but what does the Bible say about it?

I guess I was using the word generally, as per the idea of measuring......

    Who can give an answer?

Ziggy.........Interesting things happened on the road to and from Jerusalem; I think of the highly instructive events on the road to Emmaus, for example............

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

@Dropship So you wanted to stay inside a bit longer to read the library book? :)

I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

@Taken Leaving aside labels, Hebrews 11.6 is an important yardstick: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

@Taken So how is your late niece's immediate family doing? I'm sure you must have a ministry of prayer there....

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@Taken It's not your thing, indeed...... :) It's hard for others, however, to sustain the supposedly "not lady-like" thing (as discussed in the previous post's response to @dhh712 's thoughtful comments).

Many claim to be Christians, but what does the Bible say about it?

@Taken Romans 4.3 refers to the yardstick: "what saith the scripture?"

    Who can give an answer?

    Interesting perspective there, Ziggy.........

@dhh712 Thanks for the 'like'; the Psalms are so searching......

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

@dhh712 I really don't get the "unlady-like" thing, either. Someone tried to claim: Ppl are indeed entitled to their personal strong likes and dislikes, but the supposedly "unlady-like" thing is very hard to sustain. UnrulyBeauty is right when she says: Historically also, it's just not true...

Christianity boils down to believing in the end, there's no other way around it

@dhh712 What you say reminds me of 2 Corinthians 4.16-18: "16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18...
