Well, Philippians 1.6 is very strong: "He that hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ". The very fact that we believe and obey the Lord in the first place is by His grace, not of human merit..............

I do believe Scripture means marriage to be for life................. Romans 7.3, etc...........

The context is strongly Jewish. A unique time is referred to. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." (Matthew 24.21) Does not sound like today in the church age........

Matthew 24 and Luke 21 seem to show tribulation saints - Jewish background - on earth after the church has gone.
