Introducing the 5 Husbands of the Woman at the Well

Looks interesting. But you are perking my ears when I have been working or traveling to jobs since 5 am! I will have to look closer later.

    What are we today?

I don't hold it against anyone using search engines an I use them myself. I imagine Edgar Allen Poe used dictionaries once in a while.... I encourage folks to continue reading and not just rely on search engines though..search engines work better if you know what you are looking for.

    Bible = 'Books.'

This I agree with. This I don't agree with. The knowledge and philosophy of the Bible is what makes it Holy and that it would be available to all hasn't cheapened it.

    Bible = 'Books.'

Well, I'd like to focus on two parts of this. If you want a comment (Bygrace or anyone else) let me know. Really? Who? Actually I do look at it as holy. Not because of the materials made to construct it, but because of the knowledge it holds. I don't trust oral tradition, but if God had...

    What are we today?

God and Paul accounted us as sheep. Are you saying we should discount what they are saying?
  6. FHII

    What are we today?

Romans 8 says we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Romans 8:36 KJV As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Richard, the very chapter which you use to say that children of God aren't sheep never says that and in fact...

    What are we today?

I have absolutely no problem with the concept of being in Christ and also being his sheep. I don't see it as an either/or situation. The Shepherd/sheep relationship is still there. We belong to Him and he watches over us. He may be doing it with divine intervention or simply letting his Word...

    What are we today?

No, YOU show me where it says it wasn't the gentiles. Because it seems like the most obvious candidate! I absolutely have considered it might be those who have passed away. Especially those beginning with and before Abraham... Now you prove it! I don't think it is because Jesus said they...

    What are we today?

No Richard, my guess isn't as good as yours because I am not guessing. I am using history and reasoning to draw a conclusion. I have reasoning for saying it was the gentiles, now where is your reaso ing for sayong it isn't? There is one other catagory of people it could be, but do you know...

    What are we today?

I asked you the same question. If it isn't the gentiles, then who is it? There is Israel, Judah, the linage of Ishmael (todays Muslims) or the mutts known as the gentiles. So who are the other sheep who are not of the Jewish flock that the (then) 12 disciples didn't know? Seeing as Jesus...

    What are we today?

Seems to me Jesus was speaking of the gentiles in this verse. Like someone pointed out earlier: we are referred to as many things. Kings and priests, sons, heirs of God, saints, brethren, etc... Even Paul said we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. I reckon we are sheep as long as...

    The watchman

Ok... You started the thread and I figured you wanted to discus it. They seemed like reasonable and simple questions.

    What are we today?

What do you make of John 10:16?

    Salvation loss. Is it possible?

Never said or implied you are. How did you come to that assumption and are you actually going to answer the question? I am a big believer in reading the Bible. But the verse in question doesn't say faith comes by reading.

    Salvation loss. Is it possible?

I don't think I ever met anyone who hadn't been told about Jesus before they read about him in the Bible. By the way, do you believe what it says in Romans 10?

    The watchman

Can't make the questions any more simpler then I did.

    The watchman

Who is he? Who is watching over? Who does he report to?
  18. FHII

    Salvation loss. Is it possible?

Is that not what you are implying? Tou seem reesistant to what Romans 10 is sating.
  19. FHII

    Salvation loss. Is it possible?

So no one told you about Jesus or God until you read about him?

    Salvation loss. Is it possible?

Si what happens when you get to Romabs 19:17?
