    The spirit of Protestantism!

The options given here are either to follow a rabid monk called Luther or else an ecclesiastical golden calf called the pope. If there was true humility on this thread there would be no religious grandstanding at all. ALL denominations (religions with names)...as in "let us make a name for...

    Writing Music

Hey Davy, Yes. I'm a musician...I was called as such when I was converted to Christ. I do recordings in various styles. I don't really gig anymore. I write, compose and play bass and guitar and some keyboards..and sing periodically. I'm currently finishing up a world beat jazz album project...

Curious to know your thoughts on these verses (Luke 16)

This parable reveals the difference between holiness and righteousness. The holy ones are held to a higher standard. If that standard cannot be kept then we are permitted to find a home among the righteous...to be accepted there for an eternal habitation. Without that understanding of...

Bounty offered for finding a verse alive

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Num. 23:19

Share Ways God Led You out of Worldiness

Hi Wynona! I don't know if this qualifies but learning Hebrew and studying the bible in the "lishon kodesh" (holy tongue) has helped to give my another facet to my understanding of God and His ways. If we are caught up with the things of the Lord then we will not be drawn into the world.

    RECONCILE all SCRIPTURE--Or Be Silent.

A good example of this even within the same verse is... "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom. 6:23 People are conditioned to read this as an either or...rather than an all-inclusive statement. This is akin to being married "for...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

Bless you Venksta. Be courageous in the inner man of faith. I think the length was necessary to convey the complexity..and yet I still left out important aspects...like I added at the beginning of this thread with the "I am crucified with Christ yet I live..." (outer man crucified yet the inner...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

The fear is on the outer man...as in..don't get in the way of the inner man coming to God. The confidence must come from the inner man. God is WAITING for the inner man. No need to fear from within. We are to come boldly before the throne of grace. So we are only afraid of God in the outer man...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

I am teaching a spiritual walk in Christ. You are teaching a legalism based on a religious scheme that denies the power of the cross in the lives of believers. I leave you to your delusion as your own posts bear witness of what I am warning people about.

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Phil. 2:12 I'm quoting Paul who you don't understand. Will you now be honest and admit you are condemning Paul...of course not...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

I would say that almost all believers need the two steps to get into the resurrection walk. For the few that go immediately there...it is for a testimony to the others in order to encourage them to press on and upward in their walk.

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

You have it exactly backwards. The false teachers of righteousness are those who for a sample of grace then replace true righteousness with an outward conformity to a dead religious form...that has NO ETERNAL LIFE in it. A false righteousness is one that is imputed by outward beliefs...dogmas...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

LOL It's amazing how you already judge something that you haven't even listened to yet. How many people read their bibles with the view to looking for passages to justify themselves as they already are. There are others however who are willing to learn and grow in the ways of God in Christ.

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

And there are entire denominations that claim to be spiritual based on outward signs...denying the level of a walk in resurrection life. To those Jesus will say...depart I never knew you. But these things should not affect the way we present the truth...which is to be in love.

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

Amen! But to help people you have to reach them where they are at. Otherwise it will seem like we are gloating over others because of what the Lord has done with us...and through us. Humility demands that we identify with those who are in a learning phase towards full freedom in the Spirit...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

My own experience likewise was to be blasted into the holy walk by being instantly baptized in the Spirit from the very beginning. But what I learned through many years of fellowshipping with my brothers and sisters in Christ is that most people come at the life in Christ in a step-wise fashion...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

The problem is that it is you doing the justifying. This goes along with human nature. Did Jesus die to preserve the sinful nature of Adam? Or, are we saved into Christ AWAY from Adam. I am the one including the cross of Christ and its power to crucify our sinful flesh. God decides who is...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

Salvation has more than one facet. We live in time...we can turn from evil to do what is right and we can turn from doing right and do what is evil. Men have created one way streets...but God's ways are fair and balanced. We can go either way as long as we are alive. Was the prodigal son still...

What part of us is redeemed/What part of us is meant to be crucified?

LOL A new born Christian is a spiritual babe in Christ. A born again babe in Christ is a spiritual infant. And most modern believers remain there...throwing tantrums when the idea of having their toys taken away comes up.o_O:oops:
