The Bible says that if we are to mark them that cause division and offenses contrary to the Bible. So when you ask for scripture then turn around and ignore it, you are to be marked. On the other hand, it also says to mark them who walk uprightly.

The problem with that is that God does the choosing, not us. We have to walk the path and persevere, but it's clear that God choses whom he will, and he said he did it before the foundation of the world.
