What if you lose your faith?

Paul is talking about reward, not about losing his salvation. Ephesians 2.10 shows that works follow faith; they do not produce salvation.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Lambano Actually, it wasn't unusual in the 19th century, FYI: (Black Fire: Women, Tattoos, and the Transformative Power of Body Art )

    Encouraging verses

Nice picture; lady astronaut or something like that....

What if you lose your faith?

Paul is not trying to obtain his salvation, because that would be salvation by works, denied in Ephesians 2.8-9. He is talking about usefulness in service, not about losing his salvation.

What if you lose your faith?

Romans 8.38-39 are very assuring to the believer, as is John's First Epistle.

What if you lose your faith?

Paul in the verse quoted is talking about his service, not his eternal salvation. One can lose one's usefulness in service, but the verses in John 10 about nothing being able to pluck the believer from the Father's and the Lord Jesus' hand still apply....

What if you lose your faith?

Those John 10 verses are very clear....

What if you lose your faith?

Believing for a while is not permanent, saving faith......

What if you lose your faith?

In the parable of the sower, there were those who had 'no root' in them. This is not permanent, saving faith. The seed needs to fall in good ground.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

PS: @GodsGrace People don't always realize that in the 19th century it was quite widely established among women for them to be tattooed (it's not just a recent practice); it was done widely and confidently. FYI: I saw this quote. (Black Fire: Women, Tattoos, and the Transformative Power of...

What if you lose your faith?

John 15 is about fruitfulness; abiding in the vine. John 10:28-30: "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand...

What if you lose your faith?

They never truly believed, evidently. "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1.6).

For those who think Christ is not God.

@Pearl John 1 indeed says that 'without Him was not anything made that was made'; He is gloriously the Creator, not the created.

What if you lose your faith?

Father, Son and Holy Spirit are deeply present in Scripture; end of Matthew 28; John's Gospel and John's First Epistle passim; Romans 8......

@GodsGrace Well, I expect she won't hesitate to tell you all about it...

What if you lose your faith?

Being all of grace (Ephesians 2.8-9) is not simply a matter of following Christ's teaching the best we can... John's First Epistle has material which is strongly about the believer's assurance.

    Transubstantiation

We should rely on the finished work of Christ (John 19.30; Hebrews chapters 9 and 10); not on symbols ('this do in remembrance of Me', 1 Corinthians 11) supposedly becoming the very thing that they represent.

Revelation 22:13 What does it mean?

@Siddhi Koli Wonderful verse; and so it's excellent to trust the One Who is eternal, and Who 'through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God' (Hebrews 9.14) at the Cross.
