Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Ronald Nolette These days there are seemingly plenty of modest, earnest-minded young men and women who at 18 or thereabouts can't wait to get into the tattoo parlor and have something faith based inked up, or so would appear.

    Praying for the Dead

@Ronald Nolette George Whitefield often preached on "Ye must be born again". One day, someone asked him: "Mr. Whitefield, Why is it that you keep preaching on 'Ye must be born again'?" George Whitefield replied, "It's because ye must be born again!"

@devin553344 Others on this forum have said similarly. For you, it identifies you as a military man. As Heart2Soul said: For a lot of ppl, it's becoming a tool ppl are using to let others identify their faith, as Heart2Soul says. It's highly likely that a lot of ppl go joyfully into the...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Christophany Well, it certainly does seem to exercise a great deal of attraction for your ppl to have done. (So do you think your son or any of his siblings are now done yet with getting inked?)

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

@Taken I've kind of lost the he said, she said aspect of this thread..... But it's so true that the Word of God should be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119.105).

Hi @Hope For Tomorrow Your screen name reminds me of a verse of the Hymn 'Great is Thy Faithfulness': "Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!"

Saying you are without sin verses in 1 John

@Taken R C Sproul (deceased) and John MacArthur (very much alive) are reckoned to be basically sound preachers of the Word. You are right of course that it's the Word itself that must be the final reference point...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Taken Oh some things are not benign. But others are benign. There must be wisdom in seeing the difference.

What if you lose your faith?

@GodsGrace James is talking about the evidence of justification. Paul in Romans and Galatians is talking about the grounds of justification. The same truth from different angles........
