Why argue against having "passed from death to life" as the scriptures say, when only one without understanding would do such a thing?

Don't think I don't have assurance. I do. But it is based on 1 John 3:21-24, (21) and 2 Peter 1:2-11 (10-11)

The INTENT is that you would Actually UNDERSTAND what you read.

NOT ONCE did I say that, so WHY be dishonest?
@Taken I've kind of lost the he said, she said aspect of this thread.....

But it's so true that the Word of God should be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119.105).

You put the emphases in the wrong places.

Romans 5:10, "For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!"

Ephesians 2:1-9, "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. [it doesn't end here!] But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even though we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you are saved!— and he raised us up together with him and seated us together with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his creative work, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we can do them."

Your selection of Scripture clearly shows your self-righteous, condemnatory attitude! How can you distort what The Bible says to such a degree??? What is the matter with you???
My point is we all start out in the same place whether or not we become believers. Under Gods wrath and enemies of God.

What I don't understand is why anyone who has passed from death to life would willfully sin continually like a dog going back to his own vomit. Do you believe that person can lose their place in heaven, and spend their eternal life in hell? Why else does Peter say, 20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

You do as you admit, but I stopped decades ago, and my heart melted long ago as God prophesied to me on day one that it would. I've told you that but you act just like the devil and keep up the accusations. If you considered me a sister in Christ you wouldn't do that nonsense, but your fruit is bad, so I guess you are not my brother as your abuse declares loud and clear.

sbg, I hear God's voice and I can ask him questions and He immediately answers. That is how my personal relationship with Him has been established. With Enoch, God walked with him. With me, He tells me mysteries when I ask the questions He places in my heart to ask, and those mysteries are what my books are about.

That whole part of my life was one of those mysteries that I only thought about recently, and as I have already told you, when I asked Him about it, He said "because it was unintentional." Something I learned today as I prayed on the way home from church was about our conscience. It is our heart, but are all His laws written there and known day one? God clarified that it is born again of the Spirit, but on day one the fruit of the Spirit are planted, and still have to grow to maturity. Immature fruit causes those sins, but God prunes those branches to produce more fruit. But limbs that don't bear fruit at all and are nasty and full of bugs He lops off. Beware.

Our spirit is also born again and full of righteousness. We cannot rebel against God. So my sin was an immature fruit of the Spirit. But it was not in rebellion against God. In other words, it was not a sin of lawlessness which have already been dead from day one.

I hope you take the warning God has give you through me.

God bless,
1stCL

This is a wonderful post, one of the best I have read in a long time. If I recall, you are going into teaching and/or ministry. Is that correct? Regardless, you are clearly blessed.

Finally, pay no attention to crackpots like savedbygrace1 and Christophany. They have less than 1% of your wisdom and maturity in Christ.

And..? We also all start out by crawling before we walk. God has given us all a path to righteousness through His Son. Why dwell on the negative when there is so much to rejoice about? God loves the world so much...

Notice that Peter says "knowledge" of Christ, meaning they are not actually saved, but have only become aware of what can be gained or lost, yet they have not yet attained it.

So, then, his counsel is for those who have been called but not chosen, not yet reborn of the Spirit.

It is good counsel, but is not directed to those who have already irrevocably entered into Christ.

JW's don't as far as I know. They worship the Father as the One God.

Many Christians who are even worldly or new to the faith know that the JW's, and Mormons, etcetera are not saved. The issue comes down to knowing about the right Scripture verses.

God reveals Himself as triune or as a Trinity.
The King James Bible uses the word Godhead (Meaning Trinity).

1 John 5:7 (KJB) says “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

They don't believe that verse; Nor do they believe the three occurrences of the word Godhead means Trinity (Which fits the context). Jesus is GOD, and they deny this obvious fact in Scripture. They deny the personhood and deity of the Holy Spirit, as well. The Bible makes it clear you cannot worship false gods. To not worship the Trinity or the Godhead as revealed in Scripture is to worship a false god of one's own imagining. They also deny the bodily resurrection. Read 1 Corinthians 15 again. You cannot deny the bodily resurrection and be saved according to this chapter.

You said:
They are not like the RCC and Orthodox who worship Mary, but say they don't. Jesus calls that idol of theirs, Jezebel. Rev. 2

Yes, the RCC (Roman Catholic Church) has many errors. So does the JW church. Really. Just Google the false beliefs of JW's and read about 25 to 30 articles or so why Christians regard them as non-Christian. They don't worship the same God as Christians do. Christians believe in the Trinity. JW's don't believe in the Trinity. JW's deny bodily resurrection. So these are not small or light matters that they are rejecting. Do you have a friend or family member who is JW? If so, you should not let personal feelings overrule what the Bible says on this matter, sister. It's clearly obvious JW's are not Christian. This shouldn't really be even debatable unless you believe those who reject of the Trinity and the bodily resurrection are saved. If so... you need some solid biblical evidence to prove your case.

Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Rom 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

The only way to avoid them is to put them on ignore.
J.

First, I don't think Paul had internet chat forums in mind when he wrote this.
Back then, the false teachers did not have have internet platforms where their writings are posted for all to see (whereby they could convince many people).

Second, what's the point of trying to talk on the forums in the first place?
Are you not trying to help other believers?
Or are you here to just post your opinions and run?
You do realize that if you put another Christian on ignore (of whom you disagree with) they can refute your false beliefs with Scripture and you wouldn't even know it. In other words, other Christians you disagree with can help other believers (or readers) see through your nonsense (and you wouldn't even know it). So yes. You can put Christians on ignore every time you disagree with them or the times you are unable to explain the verses put forth to you. It just makes our job easier in helping others to see the truth in God's Word (that you don't agree with).

Three, I asked you to explain Matthew 5:28-30. You have yet to do so. You just keep posting Calvinist videos. Yet, you appeared before to have left Calvinism. Have you had a change of heart? Also, what do you make of Galatians 5:24, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 7:1, and Philippians 2:12? Are you able to explain what the Bible says? Or do you need somebody else to do the talking for you? Have you studied the Bible with the help of God? Or you simply regurgitating what others say? I say this not to wound you, dear sir. But I say this in love and respect and to get you to ask yourself the hard and tough questions that you need to face when it comes to the truth of God's Word.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,.... Since grace reigns in you, sin should not: seeing ye are dead to sin, are baptized into the death of Christ, and are dead with him, and alive through him, sin therefore should not reign in you, and over you.

This exhortation does not suppose a freewill power in man naturally, for this is spoken to persons, who had the Spirit and grace of Christ, and in whom God had wrought both to will and to do of his good pleasure; nor is this exhortation unnecessary to believers, though they are dead to sin, and though God has promised it shall not have the dominion over them, and though reigning sin, as divines say, cannot be in regenerate persons; for though they are entirely dead to sin as justified persons, yet not perfectly so as sanctified: they are indeed dead to sin, but sin is not dead in them; it struggles, it makes war, leads captive, and threatens absolute and universal dominion, wherefore such an exhortation is necessary;

besides, though God has promised that sin shall not have the dominion, yet making use of means, such as prayer to God that it may not, striving against it, opposing it, in order to hinder its dominion, are no ways inconsistent with the promise of God, whose promises often have their accomplishment in the use of means:

moreover, whereas some divines say, that reigning sin may be and others that it cannot be in regenerate persons, it should be observed, that if by reigning sin is meant,...

sinning against God out of malice and contempt, with the whole heart, without any struggle against it, or repentance for it, or so as to lose the grace of God, and never rise more, then it must be said that it cannot be in a regenerate man;

but if by it is meant, falling into sin against their consciences, knowingly and willingly, so as to distress their minds, lose their peace, and grieve the Spirit of God, so as to be held under it, and be led captive by it, such power sin may have in them, and over them; and therefore the exhortation is not needless; and when the apostle says, let it not reign "in your mortal body",

by it is either meant the whole man, or rather the body only, which is the instrument of sinning, and is become mortal through sin; and being so, is a reason why it should not reign in it, since it has done so much mischief to it already: and this also denotes the time of sin's being in us, and of the danger of its reigning in us; it is only whilst we are in this mortal body; and the consideration of our mortality should quicken us to war against sin,

and be careful not to
obey it in the lusts thereof; the lusts of the body, or flesh, which are therefore sometimes called fleshly lusts, are many, and have great power and influence; and may be said to be obeyed, when provision is made to fulfil them, when these are the business of a man's life, and the whole of his conversation is taken up in them, without struggle against them, or opposition to them; and heroin lies the reign of sin.

No.

Because I observe and do these things:

Matthew 16:24
Proverbs 10:12
Romans 6:12
Romans 13:8
Romans 13:9
Romans 13:10
Galatians 5:16
Galatians 5:24
Philippians 3:8
1 Peter 4:1

There you have it sir, we all do. Not one capable person makes it through a day without sinning, at least as far as I know. Well at least there are two of us by our own admission anyway.

In the flesh, yes.

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9)

You are walking after the lust of the flesh.

Beware:

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” (Romans 8:13)

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:8)

My question was;
You have heard, seen people saying they are without sin on this forum?
Can you quote them?

Your response to my question does not quote one person saying they are without sin.

He recanted anyway Taken, and stated there was not a day goes by in which he doesn't sin. Let me see if I can find another. Check out Post #8 sir, Behold is indicating he is without sin.

1st John says the born again have no sin... in Chapter 3

If you look at verses 5 and 9, he says "in Christ there is no Sin"......and all the born again are 'IN CHRIST"

Look at 5, . ""'in HIM is NO SIN"..

See that?
The OP of this Thread will never see that....cannot.

Look at verse 9...that confirms vs 5.. "whoever is BORN OF GOD (born again) Does NOT SIN".

"does not sin".

Why?
Verse 5... 'IN HIM....(where the born again exist.... IS NO SIN"..

The born again are IN CHRIST, and "IN Christ there is no sin".

How can a heresy be ‘godly’? In short, it can’t. Godliness is about conformity to sound doctrine (Titus 2:1). However, most cases of (reasonably convincing) false teaching will consist of biblical truths that have been skewed in some way. The ingredients are good, but the recipe is incomplete or else has had unwelcome things added, and the result is a theological and practical mess.

Sinless Perfectionism is a doctrine like that. In short, it holds that it is possible for Christians to completely defeat sin in the present life and to live holy lives like Jesus did.

At a glance, it makes a lot of sense. Jesus came to save us from sin. He died for our sins on the cross and he sent his Holy Spirit to empower his people to overcome sin and to live obedient, righteous lives in the present (Titus 2:11-14). Christians should have the highest aspirations for living holy lives and rejecting all sin.

Sinless Perfectionism is Unbiblical
However, the Bible also says that ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us’ (1 John 1:8). It speaks of the fact that until the resurrection we must be at war with sinful desires (Galatians 5:16-17). Sin is not an enemy ‘out there’. It’s an enemy within that lives and feeds off our fallen human desires and weaknesses (James 1:13-15).

That is why sinless perfectionism is not only untrue but also dangerous. People don’t tend to win battles that they don’t even realise they are supposed to be fighting.

Sinless perfectionism is not only untrue but also dangerous. People don’t tend to win battles that they don’t even realise they are supposed to be fighting.

There is a much-repeated (but possibly untrue) story about the 19th century Baptist preacher C.H. Spurgeon in which he debunked perfectionism in a memorable way.[1]

Spurgeon was at a conference where a preacher taught perfectionism in an outspoken manner and even claimed to have reached a state of sinless perfection himself. Spurgeon didn’t challenge him on the spot. Instead, the next morning he poured a pitcher of milk over the man’s head, to which the ‘perfectionist’ responded with the kind of rage and hostility that you’d expect from any sinner. Perfectionism debunked.

We like this story. It’s funny to hear of false teaching being exposed in an amusing way. But I suspect that our reaction is far too smug. It betrays an attitude of self-assurance at precisely the point where we should feel our greatest need. It demonstrates a disturbing lack of concern about the fact that we sin and that our sin is deeply offensive to God. When we remember this then it’s impossible to gleefully say in our hearts: “you stupid perfectionists—of course we all sin!” Are we pleased with the situation? Have we forgotten what sin is? Even though we know that it’s false, shouldn’t we wish that sinless perfectionism were true? Don’t you long to be free of sin?

Spiritual Complacency is Unbiblical Too
If there is an equal and opposite error to sinless perfectionism then it is the sin of spiritual complacency. It’s shrugging your shoulders at sin’s inevitability. It’s acceptance that sin is just part of life, and I’m OK with that. It’s responding to occasions of sin by almost justifying it with glib lines like: “we know that we all sin.” That is a ghastly attitude for a Christian to have and it needs to be challenged.

If there is an equal and opposite error to sinless perfectionism then it’s shrugging your shoulders at sin’s inevitability—sin is just part of life, and I’m OK with that.

It is easy for me to criticize sinless perfectionism because I don’t personally know any Christians who struggle with this doctrine. However, I dare say that I know an entire evangelical culture that is complacent about sin. We’ve forgotten that sin is ugly and grotesque; the complete opposite to righteousness. We’ve forgotten that God’s will for our lives is that we be holy (1 Thessalonians 4:3). We’ve forgotten that what Christians look forward to above all else is Jesus returning to take away our sin completely. We’ve forgotten that anyone who truly desires that day to come will be obsessed with living a holy life now (1 John 3:2-3).

Jesus taught that Christians would ‘hunger and thirst’ after righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Imagine a man who has been deprived of food and water for far too long. Hunger and thirst are not just a thought in his head, but all-encompassing desires that cannot be ignored. His whole body cries out for sustenance! He will never – can never – be satisfied until his desire is satiated. Is our hunger for righteousness like that? That’s what perfectionism (at its best) gets right. It desires to be without sin. That is a profoundly godly ambition, and one that all Christians should share. We recognise that we will inevitably fall short. But we are not happy about it.

Come Lord Jesus!

[1] I suspect this anecdote evolved from an incident that Spurgeon recounted in his autobiography which isn’t nearly as exciting. However, the point is the same: Spurgeon exposed a self-professed “perfectionist” as sinful by driving him to anger. See C.H. Spurgeon, C.H. Spurgeon’s Autobiography: 1. The Early Years (Edinburgh: Banner of Truth, 1962), 229.

Sinless Perfectionism is a doctrine like that. In short, it holds that it is possible for Christians to completely defeat sin in the present life and to live holy lives like Jesus did.

Jesus thought so too:

“…sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” (John 5:14)

“…go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do…” (John 14:12)

However, the Bible also says that ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us’ (1 John 1:8).

This pertains to those who have NOT believed on Christ, for the scripture goes on to say:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

“…and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9)

That is why sinless perfectionism is not only untrue but also dangerous.

How dangerous is sin-perfectionism?

How dangerous is sin-perfectionism?
You have just redefined scripture.

cannot sin, because he is born of God — “because it is of God that he is born” (so the Greek order, as compared with the order of the same words in the beginning of the verse); not “because he was born of God” (the Greek is perfect tense, which is present in meaning, not aorist); it is not said, Because a man was once for all born of God he never afterwards can sin; but, Because he is born of God, the seed abiding now in Him, he cannot sin; so long as it energetically abides, sin can have no place. Compare Gen_39:9, Joseph, “How CAN I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”

The principle within me is at utter variance with it. The regenerate life is incompatible with sin, and gives the believer a hatred for sin in every shape, and an unceasing desire to resist it. “The child of God in this conflict receives indeed wounds daily, but never throws away his arms or makes peace with his deadly foe” [Luther].

The exceptional sins into which the regenerate are surprised, are owing to the new life principle being for a time suffered to lie dormant, and to the sword of the Spirit not being drawn instantly. Sin is ever active, but no longer reigns. The normal direction of the believer’s energies is against sin; the law of God after the inward man is the ruling principle of his true self though the old nature, not yet fully deadened, rebels and sins.

Contrast 1Jn_5:18 with Joh_8:34; compare Psa_18:22, Psa_18:23; Psa_32:2, Psa_32:3; Psa_119:113, Psa_119:176. The magnetic needle, the nature of which is always to point to the pole, is easily turned aside, but always reseeks the pole.
Jamieson Fausset Brown.

Tell me what you think sanctification is.
When did it happen? Is it ongoing, progressive?
Why the need for sanctification if you are already sinless?

Jesus teaching

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Luke 6:46
Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' but not do what I say?

Luke 11:28
Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it

John 8:31
If you hold to My teaching you are truly My disciples

John 15:14
You are My friends if you do what I command you

John 13:17
If you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

John 14:15
If you love Me you will keep My commandments

John the disciple whom Jesus loved teaching:

1 John 2
And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

1 John 2
Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

1 John 2
If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

1 John 3
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

1 John 4
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

1 John 5
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith

Paul's teaching:

Shall we continue in sin that grace might abound ? May it NEVER be !

Romans 6
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,a that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Galatians 5
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Colossians 3
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Ephesians 2
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

Titus 2:11-15
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works. 15 Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Peters Teaching

1 Peter 1
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 4
As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.

2 Peter 1:3-11
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

hope this helps !!!
