For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

Or Adam & Eve... or Cain... or David... or Saul... or Joseph's whole family... or Balaam... or Peter... or Moses... and the list could go on and on.

For those who don't believe in prophets today....explain this

So true. Nowhere does that Scripture say: "All Scripture shows us the way we should act."

Is the Bible an instruction book on how to be saved?

What that really says is that we tend to believe anything we hear (or read) enough, so we need to be sure we are hearing (reading) the word of God.

    Best Study Bible?

Why post some selected excuses from a pro KJV site? Read the entire preface (It is 12,223 words, and I can send it to you from my computer if you can't find it) and see the butt-kissing the translators gave the king. Those guys weren't going to present a word James didn't want written down.

    Best Study Bible?

You might want to do some study on just WHY James-I wanted to be sure some of his translation would be specifically different from the Geneva Bible.

    Best Study Bible?

I have no problem with the Apocrypha being included in the Bible. (I had to go elsewhere to find those books in order to read them.) And I consider the supposed "mistakes" in the KJV to be very small matters. My trouble with recommending that version is the difficult and convoluted...

    Nondenominational Christianity

Luke 5:23 King James Bible Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? (Jesus' very own words)

    Nondenominational Christianity

The KJV?????? Let me always see God this way instead: Psalm 23 The Passion Translation (TPT) The Good Shepherd 23 David’s poetic praise to God >[a] 1 The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. >[b] I always have more than enough. 2 He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love...

Remain in Jesus Christ and Bear Much Fruit, or be Thrown into the Fire & Burned

Again with the THREAT message: "Love me, or I will kill you!" When are we ever going to actually hear His voice?

    Nondenominational Christianity

No, actually, not that many people in the Vineyard churches speak in tongues, and none of them claim (as Pentecostals do) that such a phenomenon is necessary for, nor a requisite for, having the Holy Spirit. This starts with one of three (1/3) videos our founder did on "the gifts."

    A Short "Mllinninal" Primer

I just Googled that, and found a different consensus: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS810US810&q=is+the+number+of+Christians+growing&gws_rd=ssl

    Nondenominational Christianity

Although I do not attend one, I align most with The Vineyard Fellowship.

    A Short "Mllinninal" Primer

Yeah, if we really do understand it. But, due to the proliferation and variances of the multitudes of "understandings" this Earth is littered with, it is kind of obvious that we should all realize that we (the collective "we") don't. Individually, of course we all KNOW we really do understand.

    A Short "Mllinninal" Primer

On end times matters, I tend to listen to what the Bible says: Matthew 6:34 New International Version (NIV) 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. And, I like this translation best: Matthew 6:34 The Passion...

What do you do when people don't want to hear the truth

"Us vs. Them" will always rear its ugly head if we do not let Jesus reel us in some.

What do you do when people don't want to hear the truth

In situations like that, and others specific to only us, it just might be a moment for each of us to realize that what we are insisting they hear may not be the truth God has for them.

Come to Worship the Lord in Jerusalem

As long, Blueberry, as we are both saying that people aren't saved by only believing certain particular "correct" denominational doctrine. Thanks, BTW, for the backup way back then.

Come to Worship the Lord in Jerusalem

What was Saul's punishment for his misguided killing and imprisoning of Followers of The Way before he became Paul? As I recall, he was just asked why he was doing that.
