The true believer continues in faith. Not having the Spirit of God is the same as not being a believer at all. 'If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His' (Romans 8.9).

Psalm 111 says, "Holy and reverend is His name". The presence of a holy God is something that a sinner is not naturally fit for; hence the great need for a Saviour...
