    Frankly, I think the idea of being "Christian" has very little to do with Christ anymore. At least in most American (and Canadian?) churches. And Christ never said He came to save members of a certain Religious Gathering.

    It is kind of a hoot when the preacher is trying to convince a room full of people he already knows are all Christians that they need to hear the gospel message. Sort of sounds like he has no idea what else to preach about.

    I too get tired of this same old "gotta be watching and ready" stuff. Since the Bible tells us that to be saved, we need only believe.... what, then, is entailed in all this additional "watching and being ready?"

    The subject really isn't. Many of us swear we live by the 10 Commandments. This is only taking in more than just 10 laws that God gave. (Most of us already "add in" selected things we find all through the book.)
