You don't know Scripture--every honest reader (honest like @James the Rabbit, a Catholic who admitted the Scriptures taught that the Church is New Eve like was pointed out) can see that.

May I add that God was married to Israel under the Old Covenant... and Jesus is the "Husband" to the People of God in the New Covenant. There's no way Jesus isn't God.

The Catholic, @James the Rabbit, had a strong objection--unlike the emptiness being spouted by the Roman Catholic Church "authority" (a Jesuit?) @BreadOfLife--and I didn't have the answer, but it was provided to me by God while I wasn't even thinking about it! LOL

I don't really want to get into all of these things--it's unnecessary. The direction the discussion was going in was just fine as far as I was concerned--now there will be mountains of posts no one will read through and they won't see the Catholics' views being debunked. Where does "holistic"...

The bride, mentioned there, is the City of God, New Jerusalem--so called because Jerusalem was the place where God had had His Temple, the place He lived on earth, but we are now His Temple where He lives on earth. I think we are done with this now as we are quite far off topic.

If you're inferring the Spirit is the Church, let me just advise that these are not things to be taken lightly--better to pray and ask God for understanding than to blurt things out which may be disrespectful. The Spirit is God. The Church is not God.

When John referred to "bridegroom and bride", the context was a denial he (ie, John the Baptist) was himself Messiah/Christ. It's not about whether he "saw" the church--he already "saw" the dove, and so knew Jesus was the Christ.
