@Ronald Nolette I may have mentioned that a shy young woman that my wife and I talked to had the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area. I reckon she went into the tattoo parlor joyfully.

@Titus Thanks for your comments. I do think that the verse you quoted on the other thread is relevant here: "There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man." (Mark 7.15)

@ScottA The John 3 passage about the new birth ought to be simple for ppl to understand but a lot of ppl seem to be able to make it complicated. It does take the work of the Holy Spirit truly to have a faith understanding of Scripture.

@Titus Whether or not they are suitable for every Christian, all the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken seem to have had them done as witness tools. There is the expectation that having them would lead to conversations with ppl. A passage which may be relevant is Romans...

Hi @Jibbitay It's hard anyway to see divorce and remarriage truly defended in Scripture. Some couples even have their wedding ring fingers tattooed: again, I reckon the strong idea is permanence, right?
