Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Hi @Eternally Grateful Acolyte seems to refer to it as a potentially joyful experience, anyway: Acolyte said: ↑

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

@Eternally Grateful Significant indeed that John 3.16 - with everlasting life in question - does not mention baptism...

Eternal (age-during) conscious torment - Topic

@MatthewG Just to refer to Revelation 21.27: "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Ziggy Both GodsGrace and Heavenhome seem to point out how it is so widespread; how strongly ppl seem to want to do it. I guess this is also the background context for those who get faith based designs. GodsGrace said: ↑ Heavenhome said: christianforums

What is the purpose for the judgment of God?

@Ziggy : Good verse there, 1 Peter 4.12. Similarly, John 16.33 speaks of tribulation in the world, but also that the Lord Jesus has already overcome the world. :) Blessings.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Good points there, indeed. Paul in Ephesians 3 speaks of the inner man, spiritually speaking. A lot of Christians do get faith based tattoos; all the young ppl with whom I have spoken with Bible verses tattoos seem to have had them done for witness tool reasons.

@soul man John 17:17: "Thy word is truth". Psalm 119:105: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path".

    Best way to win converts

In Acts 2.41, those who gladly received his word were indeed baptized because they believed. They were not baptized in order to try to become believers.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@MetalMike From what you said a while back —and maybe the situation with all you guys has moved on from then— the urge to get tattooed affects different ppl at different times and in different ways. For some ppl, getting faith-based inking is special, though.

    Prayer Warrior study

Hi @Goldie75 In both Philippians 4 and 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul links prayer with joy and thanksgiving: all are indeed connected in the believer's life in the Spirit.

    Bible Ribbons and bookmarks

PS: I think the idea of a larger, pulpit Bible having ribbons is that if someone is doing a reading - maybe from more than one passage - it is thus easier to turn the page quickly and not have to spend time looking for the passage.

    Bible Ribbons and bookmarks

I like the King James - with or without ribbons...

What does the Bible say about when Jesus Christ would return?

@MatthewG I guess the personal challenge is, rather than getting into theoretical timetables, the state of the individual's heart before the Lord and how the message of the Gospel is being received.
