The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

Hi, The righteousness of God is always His by definition...never ours. We submit to His righteousness when we wait for His decisions and power...His visitation and inspection. IOW He has to get directly involved...in Spirit and truth. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the...

The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

What I am saying is that we indeed need to seek the kingdom...rather than assume we have it all...as a done-deal. Submitting ourselves to God's righteousness means we wait on Him for His power...HIS decisions...not assume we already have it (as the Pharisees did). Either we wait upon the Lord...

The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

It is only when we enter into Him AFTER the first step ...when we enter INTO Him..that we obtain HIS wisdom. AND...wisdom is something we learn through our many failures. God is patient with us. And we must also be patient with our own learning process. So then wisdom involves meat...the...

Understanding Romans 6 is critically important

Nowadays it's the church leaders that don't want to hear unpopular truth. As such few babes even get to hear about the victory that is IN Christ. So then the truth sounds foreign to them. There is an entire culture of this lack in the modern church. Just start talking about the power of Christ...

ROMANS 8 WALK IN THE SPIRIT

The one-step salvation scheme... Actually the born again experience is like a sample given out at a department store. One needs to go to God in a full surrender to get the whole package. And the cost of the whole thing is...ALL! This process is the crucifixion of the outer man so that God can...

The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

The crossroads of the faith are made quite plain when we see that we can go one of two ways...for better or for worse. Is. 29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine. The very next verse in the bible begins the next chapter...

The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

How many people understand that the bible puts us at a crossroads...to become either a hypocrite or a saint? We can start out innocent before we come to the bible...unless of course we are they who indulge in sin wilfully. It seems most modern people...who don't believe in a full victory over...

ROMANS 8 WALK IN THE SPIRIT

This sounds right...at least on the surface of it. How many, after 50 or 60 years in the Lord realize that the spiritual walk is out of reach of our best human efforts? It seems the error of the younger ones is to believe that we can somehow grow INTO holiness. But the bible is testifying of...

The Bible puts us at a Crossroads

OK...we can see that we can reject or accept the biblical message or not. We can turn to Christ or continue to follow the wide road to ultimate judgment. If you are reading this post you most likely have chosen to follow Christ and to not avoid the biblical truth...at least not knowingly. But...

    Grace First

Wilfull disobedience and unbelief is not to be equated with they who have never been given the opportunity to learn of Jesus Christ. In your religion would you condemn to hell a young girl who honoured her Hindu parents (as God commands she ought to) and then dies before a Western preacher can...

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

God's rest is in holiness. We are to enter into THAT rest through Christ. So we honour the Sabbath of God. We cease from our own works to enter into Christ. We honour that level of walk...which is by grace through the faith OF Jesus Christ.
  14. Episkopos

    Grace First

Grace on one level (universal) doesn't negate grace on another level (for holiness). People do that...not God. This response of yours is to confuse entering into Christ now...with God's mercy later. It is also to confuse what grace is. The bible doesn't say that anyone who is not born again will...

    Grace First

No I'm not a Catholic....but this guy understands the bible and it's message. At least on the minimum standards of God.

Find in the bible where it says that Jesus only died for the church. I cited 3 verses that say that Jesus died for all men...even unbelievers. And there are many more. If you can't see what I wrote in the OP I don't expect you will search the bible though.

    Grace First

Not pleasing...but acceptable to Him. God is not out to get non-religious people...but to save them. Acts 10:35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.
  18. Episkopos

    Grace First

Yes...this is the grace given to God's ministers. At that level grace is the power of God to carry out the will of God. Grace is there to strengthen us. The basic universal grace is according to our conscience. But so many of us have gone beyond the child-like conscience and into sin...
  19. Episkopos

    Grace First

But what of Christianity? Well, Christianity is grace upon grace. John 1:16 “And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (actually grace on top of, or in addition to, grace) IOW we are they who seek to cooperate with God...and we who surrender from our own agendas can be...
  20. Episkopos

    Grace First

Now there are huge ramifications to allowing God to be sovereign over His own creation. (As if He needed our approval). It means that we have NO (zero) say in who gets "saved" or not...not even for ourselves. NO...the initiative remains in HIS hands. So then His grace works with ALL...
