    The social gospel?

True In all ages (dispensations or whatever you want to call them) with the exception of the age of innocent (pre-fall) all men have been born dead. And the only means to be restored has been grace. Abraham BELIEVED God and it was accredited, imputed, accounted (whatever word you want to use)...

talk about non responsive. your first comment, what does it even mean? your second, your trying to deflect. Mischaracterization? Are you now pointing to the cross and grace as a means of eternal life. Or do you still believe it makes you perfect so you can earn your way in?

    The social gospel?

Sadly, when we are stuck in our own thinking, in pride, we can not tolerate when people disagree with us, We are so offended we have to lash out.

    The social gospel?

That is why legalistic thinking boggles my mind How can we look to a perfect and righteous God and think we even come close. I think we even sin sins we do not even know are sins. Thats part of christian growth. I think as paul said, as mature a believer as he was. He considered himself the...

    The social gospel?

If we are judged by what we are doing we are lost. All have sinned and fall short. You (we) have already failed Who is the pretender The one who thinks he is righteous. Or the one who in humility come to the throne of grace

    The social gospel?

Again, Even if we are born again, If we think we know all truth, we are in danger. And can not be taught when we are not in truth.

    The social gospel?

I disagree in point. Everyone hs a measure of grace. The fact we are living and have the opportunity to come to God is but of Grace. But we can’t earn salvation. Remember the warnings and remark. The author always said, If you have been…. Agree True Now I think Gods children can be trapped...

    The social gospel?

When we think we know it all we are unreachable and unteachable God can’t help us.

    The social gospel?

Everyone speaks bits of truth. Some more than others we should never think we have it all figured out we need to remain humble

    The social gospel?

I don’t think, I know. Everything he says is about performance (works) even if he would reach this level of spirituality he speaks of, it is of his doing, Not of Gods

    When are God's Elect Justified?

I think Jesus said it best the tax collector went home justified. Because he fell on his face in humility and called out for God to have mercy. It is when we come to God in faith that we are justified.

    The social gospel?

I am talking about a legalist. Who trust their works. Not in someone who trusts God completely
  18. Eternally Grateful

    The social gospel?

Yet you claim you have not had power over that sin And again, Even if you did, You would still be lost. Thats a lie. And a feeble attempt to attack the messenger by a false truth to make them look bad. It will not stand If your being good to try to enter heaven, it is of human effort Again...

    The social gospel?

Look at it this way You grow up in a legalistic system, Someone shows you the Grace of God Your faith is in that system of rules you grew up in. But you are intrigued by the new grace system. Buf the legal system (of works) keep tugging on you, so you can not totally receive this law of...

    The social gospel?

What good would that do if we are still dead in sin. Thats where faith comes in, Faith says it is true, because Gd said it is true If you want to see that as name it and claim it. Well then I guess Gods truth is not really what you trust in.. Another thing people should run far away from...
