Once in awhile someone makes a rather profound statement on here. THAT was one such statement. Thank you for that.

Their main idea is that we confused and divided humans need the standard of a moral compass to guide our collective ship by.

    Does "LAW" matter?

And, although we like to claim this is an isolated group and none of the rest of us push any kind of agenda... the Westboro Baptists will swear they are jeering and shaming families of soldiers at their funerals out of pure "love" for those bereaved family members.

    Does "LAW" matter?

I have never said, and never will say, keeping any laws is a "requirement" for anything, as is usually thrown back at me whenever "law" is mentioned, nor that we should be worried about it. I am saying that the law was designed to provide a much better and smoother life for us than most of the...

I agree. I could never be one, but they are "dead-on-right" about 90% of their stuff.

No one will never learn what true Christian Reconstructionism is if they only read what detractors say. Would you go to the Church of Later Day Saints or to the JW's to learn about the church you attend? I thought just like you about "those evil "Dominionists" UNTIL I read what they are...

Just think of what our country could become if Washington DC only attempted to govern as God first told Israel to do.
  9. Willie T

Quite to the contrary. It is when Israel turned away from God's guidance that they lost their way.

    Does "LAW" matter?

Wow! That's a bit frightening. Especially when there is now (as you seem to believe) no law against something like Homosexuality. After all, both that and even Pedophilia are based in a professed love. (The sole criteria of social interaction, as I hear it often being stated here.)

You've never heard of Christian Reconstructionism (Theonomy), have you?

I think we would all like to hear what you know that makes these ancient beliefs something that no one should follow.

Panda. Despite what you or I may have, you seem to be living discontented. THAT is what Jesus offers us not to have to feel all the time. And, it works.

    Does "LAW" matter?

So, since the laws are good, but we fail at keeping them, are we to, as Josho's article seems to suggest, dismiss them and just ignore the fact that they were once given as a way to live? Is that the way we are to consider them?

The Two Accounts of Creation in Genesis Explained

I'm glad that was presented accurately.

    Does "LAW" matter?

Some thoughts I ran across pertaining to the two posts above.......... It is important to recognize that the Law continues as the moral standard of righteousness into the New Testament and throughout the New Covenant era. In broad evangelicalism today, as in the past, there is a tendency to...

God doesn't see humans that way, either. That is just how men have decided He has to see us.
