    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

So, to address the only really important part of all that interchange...... When the end comes, which do you think will be the greater number of people, those who believe (or believed in history) or Unbelievers? THAT was my "defeatist" attitude comment. I have met very few Christian people who...

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

Typical Bible Class Instructor: "Brother Jones, will you read Verse #1?" Brother Jones reads it. Instructor: "Brother Smith, can you tell us what that verse means?" Brother Smith: "Just what it says!" All the Class: "AMEN!!!" Instructor: "Thank you. Now, Brother Brown, will you read verse #2?"

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

Those 3 words I BOLDED take us right back to showing that "the verse that says it all" is often only each individual's interpretation. As you stated, the verses hypothetically posted were clear TO THE PERSON WHO POSTED. But that does not mean other people saw it the same way. I think you know...

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

The good words you wrote of Cloverdale are basically the old "Inductive Method of Study" we learned way back in school. BTW, private interpretation of Scripture is very normal, and guides most of our lives. All of the Jewish Rabbis interpreted and preached and published their own...

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

Do you consider something like just Copy/Pasting a verse, " imparting the truth?" Considering the myriad of interpretations of often just one single verse, I certainly don't. Even Jesus said, "You have heard it said (or, read), thus and so, BUT, I say....." We, of course cannot say what Jesus...

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

This quote has been attributed to several different men, but it remains: "True eloquence consists in saying all that is necessary, and nothing but what is necessary."

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

I suppose the biggest problem I have with Dispensationalists is the way they seem to feel that they can pin-point, almost to the day, (I'm being a bit factious there) the beginnings and ends of all the past "D's", with the exception of this final one (which they conclude we just happen to be...

Spotlight On The Disasterous RCC "Celibacy" Requirement

I have a very serious interest in some of this. I happen to think a lot of one particular teacher, and if it were not for their tapes getting me through a tough time, it is likely I would have killed myself. Now, you may feel as strongly about some other teacher or teaching. Should I report...

Teh Shack - Not my testimony

We Christians are often like sheep in more than one way.

Teh Shack - Not my testimony

I have found that if "churchy" people don't like something, it is usually a message almost directly from God that this is something I need to listen to.... it is the Truth in more ways than one.

You've been reading far too much literature from the American Kennel Association. People are not animals. Our minds work entirely different.

Spotlight On The Disasterous RCC "Celibacy" Requirement

I lived all through the Chick Tract era. They were not to my liking, but all I ever saw was that he preached a different brand of fear than the Bible Thumpers in our pulpits did. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron were just fear mongering peddlers of a smoother kind.

Spotlight On The Disasterous RCC "Celibacy" Requirement

I don't like tracts at all. But if people are plainly telling us that they were saved through reading those tracts, I have to admit that I am appalled at the prejudicial censorship of actually removing a link to what they told us was instrumental in their Salvation. How on Earth do we justify...

    Built On The Wrong Apostle

If you were actually following the thread, it would be obvious exactly what verse that was.

    Dispensationalism is it Scriptural?

So, do you really believe that was written just a few years ago? Of course you don't. If you feel you have to get all hung up on the "D" word used in the translation, then you also have to see that Paul was speaking about "administrations" that occurred before his authorship, around 1,900...

    Built On The Wrong Apostle

Of course. Unless you are Catholic, you know Christ's Church was not built on ANY man, Peter or Paul. Read a more accurate rendering of the translation: 15 They show that some requirements found in Moses’ Teachings are written in their hearts. Their consciences speak to them. Their thoughts...
